Chez Geraldine- Charming Rooftop Apartment in Florence

Stylish apartment with breathtaking rooftop terrace, right outside the city center at less than 20mins from the Cathedral by foot, 10/15 from the Galleria ell'Accademia and Piazza San Marco, accessible by car and well served by public transport at 900mt from the train station Campo di Marte. Private elevator. 4 BIKES AVAILABLE.

The apartment is newly restyled with a very special taste, mixing different styles in the architecture and design. It is a 2 floors apartment on the last floor of a mid 20th century building: at the first floor there are the bedrooms (a Suite and a second bedroom) the bathroom and a wardrobe room.
The Suite is introduced by an elegant living area with a separè industry in glass and iron dividing it from the double bedroom with balcony and fireplace.
The second bedroom has a big wardrobe with mirrors, a fine couch and twin beds to be disposed at one's will.
Through an elegant white marble staircase we have access to the brand new rooftop kitchen and the wide terrace with a view on the hills sorrounding Florence and spots of the old buildings of the historic center.

The apartment is entirely reserved to our guests, access to it is by stairs or by elevator with private access to the floor.
The rooftop terrace is reserved only to our guests with sole access from inside the apartment by a staircase. At the same floor in a separate flat live the owners, always ready to help!

Please note that the City Council requires the payment of a TOURIST TAX of 3,00€ per person (over 12yo) for each night (maximum 7 nights) to be paid WHEN CHEKING in as it is not possible to count it properly on the website. thanks

Incredible Apartment

My family and I have been a customer of VRBO for more than 10 years. This is the best experience we have ever had. The apartment is spectacular - Geraldine is an architect and it clearly shows, particularly with her very cool rooftop kitchen and deck with 360 degree views of Florence. Geraldine and Nicolla could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They left us some basics so we did not have to immediately go look for a market and Nicolla was a god send in terms of recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. The apartment is a 15 minute walk to all the major Florence sites. I could not recommend this apartment higher. We will absolutely come back the next time we are in Florence and encourage all of our friends to do the same.

A lovely apartment in a nice neighborhood with a short walk 30 min or less to historic Florence

We loved our stay here. The top floor has a beautiful terrace to enjoy amazing views of Florence and Fiesole. The hospitality was amazing. A special thank you to Niccolo for helping us with transportation, advice and recommendations. There is a grocery store and a charming park nearby. We walked to all the major sites. We also met the owner who was kind and gracious. We loved everything about it!

Stunning apartment, spacious and located within a 30 minute walk of anything you might want to do in Florence. Geraldine is a charming, delightful, gracious host. Beautifully decorated, clean, and airy.

This was probably the nicest VRBO experience we have ever had. Geraldine met my husband and I at the door and graciously oriented us to the apartment and the city. She was very generous with her time and recommended a number of restaurants to us, all good experiences. The apartment is very nicely appointed with Geraldine's artwork and books. It was also very clean and with the two bedrooms had more than enough space for the two of us. The rooftop kitchen and terrace are truly unique and gives you a breathtaking bird's eye view of Florence. Unfortunately, there was no washing machine, although Niccolo, Geraldine's associate offered to have laundry done for us. We ended up going to a local laundromat, which was just a few blocks away, which was fine. All in all, I would recommend this listing to anyone. It's a little out of the center of the city in a more residential area, and therefore not too crowded and busy. We were able to park our rented car on the street nearby. We also liked the location because it allowed us to get a better feel for what it's like to be a resident of the city.

Einfach nur perfekt!

Die Wohnung ist ein Traum. Die Einrichtung perfekt. Der Blick phänomenal. Der Wohlfühlfaktor extrem hoch. Aber das Beste ist der warme Empfang und der Service durch Geraldine und Niccolo! Kekse, Kaffe, Prosecco, Wasser ... alles schon vorbereitet. Vielen Dank! Die Lage ist top, weil ruhig, authentisch und abseits der Touristenströme. Die Gefahr besteht, dass man von Florenz nichts zu sehen bekommt, weil man die Wohnung gar nicht mehr verlassen möchte. Man musste uns mit Gewalt entfernen ... ;-) Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Geraldine and her co-host Niccolo were so helpful from the minute we arranged the booking until the minute we left. Far and beyond what I would expect a host to do. The apartment is truly beautiful. The decoration faultless. Beds are very comfortable and the bathroom and shower perfect. The crowning glory is the fantastic kitchen and roof terrace. The view across Florence and up into the hills is lovely. We sat up there lastnight and had our evening meal in the sunset. This place is another of Florences treasures. Geraldine’s rooftop apartment was even more beautiful in person. Rooftop patio was perfect for relaxing. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Nicest place I’ve ever stayed. I can’t wait to go back. No complaints at all.

Perfecto! Beautifully appointed home, with every convenience, quite, immaculately clean, roomy, a large terrace where we had coffee in the AM and cocktails in the evening. I could go on about Geraldine but suffice it to say my husband and I and our two friends feel we now have a friend in Firenze. Nicollo was very helpful, even biking to the train station to retrieve the keys to the apt we forgot to leave. This will be our home should we visit Florence again Cheryl & Sam Carruth, Mississippi

Simply the Best!

Brava Geraldine and Niccolo! Such an incredible and memorable stay! This is designed with elegance and such style, and with so many little touches that make your heart melt every time you discover something little that they have done for you. Built like a palace, spacious enough for a king and queen downstairs, with marble staircases that lead to the best penthouse, completely encased glass kitchen. The kitchen has a golden copper bench top, equipped with all your creative needs for a dinner party or night for two. We made friends instantly, and shared some vino on the roof-top terrace, compliments of the host, looking over the spectacular views of Florence and up to the hills of Fiesole! So easy to walk into the centre, a straight line to the Duomo, and a wonderful local environment in this area, not so touristy! I spent a month here, loved every moment and certainly made the most of the massive 180' View terrace in the beautiful Firenze sunlight and sunsets. I would definitely go back any time I could get a booking! Love love love
