The property is very beautiful, the managers were nice and tried their best to be accommodating. Not all of the staff was nice, there was a strange smell in the bathroom of our original room, it took a lot of discussion and back and forth to change rooms. They gave us a new room after them letting us know that we really shouldn’t be in the new room because it was more expensive than the one we booked, but I explained that making an exception for the negative experience and mouldy/bad odour wasn’t our fault. They finally agreed. The second room was fine but after all the back and forth and the negative experience with a staff member who was rude to my friend, we decided to leave and book somewhere else.
I asked for a refund and they declined, they also declined through Expedia, so I paid for another day we weren’t there despite letting them know very early the day before we’d be leaving.
