Spacious room. Great staff, nice upscale hotel. It's a bit far from the city center and not a lot of dining options right by the hotel. Need to walk to get to better choices. About 25 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio bridge, and about the same to the Duomo to give a better idea of location. If you don't mind the location I would definitely recommend a stay here

Dilapidated...the hotel, the room, the bathroom, the service, the mood of the staff from behind the front desk, bellman, housekeeping, all of it...dilapidated.

We reserved a room for one night of our 10 day holiday in Florence. We did not have our passports with us (we have copies and original driving licence) but the manager would not allow us to stay. No refund offered. Our passports were in the safe of our main hotel for safety. We were not aware of rule that original passport needed to be provided. We had to book a hotel elsewhere in Clorence.

Great Hotel at Starhotels Florence

This was a terrific hotel in a part of town convenient to the train station and access to the airport. The hotel hospitality service was exceptional from every interaction we had from the front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable.

The staff was exceptional. We spent three weeks in hotels and the front desk staff were the most helpful and engaging we found anywhere. We borrowed bikes to ride on the walls of Lucca—a must, took the train to Pisa and enjoyed our time wandering around Lucca and sampling local cuisine. The staff was helpful in recommending restaurants and making reservations. We also took advantage of the spa and masseuse. She was terrific.

The staff was very nice and offered recommendations when checking in. The room was very clean, they also provided a hair dryer. Breakfast started at 6:30am, I thought the food was great. The location is very close to the train station by taxi, maybe a 20-25 minutes if walking. When leaving you can ask the front desk to call a taxi for you. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in junior suite and the air conditioner in the night was making water circulating noice which I found very annoying also didn’t think it worked properly. The bed wasn’t comfortable for me. Also Needs touching up with paint in bathroom ceiling and grout. Very long check inn at reception which is also annoying when you are tired. It took around 20min. The hotel price didn’t meet my expectation. Was quite far to walk to main part of old town. I would recommend a taxi especially in late evening.

Nice hotel option in Florence

We loved this hotel. Stayed 5 nights. Very convenient location, in terms of proximity to the hotspots in Florence. Far enough away though, to not have to deal with any major hustle and bustle that we would have seen closer to the city center. Service was fantastic, the front desk staff was very helpful. The room was a little on the small side, but it was perfectly adequate for our needs Breakfast options were top notch, and the bar/restaurant staff was first class all the way. If I had to find something to critique, it would be the shower. The water temperature would "cycle", for lack of a better term..... every 10-15 seconds, you'd get 1-2 seconds of extremely hot water. Truthfully, I'm not even sure what they could even do to fix that. Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend.

Outdated. Not what you’d expect from a chain

This hotel was expensive for what it offers. It hasn’t been renovated for a long time and is in need of it. Feels like a “business transit” hotel. Air conditioning unit is so loud couldn’t sleep. The room we had clearly had been flooded from the bathroom at some point and the flooring was damaged with water marks and not repaired. The kettle provided couldn’t be used unless plugged into the low plug on the floor which was the only plug in the room unless you started unplugging lamps. Child bed was not comfortable and children moaned about quality. Overall a poor experience. Drinks in the bar expensive and breakfast options just a poor buffet without great selection. For the money I wouldn’t recommend this option as you’d find something independent rather than a chain with people who care and better decor.

We had reservations for a junior suite and were upgraded so the room was very nice. The hotel is new and modern, a great breakfast but a bit away from the city center activities.
