The best weekend ever!

Shades of Blue was AMAZING!!! To wake up with the pool and ocean view every morning was a dream come true. Stephanie was so responsive and helpful and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. The house was clean and she had a handy man come the same day any issues came up. It was the perfect bachelorette party weekend and we hope to be back soon!

Beautiful Vacation

This house is located on a quiet beach overlooking such beautiful blue waters. In front of the house you have a light surf to play in or you can walk a short way down the beach to a cove with calm water. The house is large and we had plenty of room to gather in or a quiet place for those that needed to do some online work. I would certainly recommend or return to this house with my family!

Fantastic family vacation

Amazing house, amazing location with incredible view. We enjoyed a week here with a family vacation of 12. More than enough room for everyone. Great view, pool and overall layout. The owner and on-island property manager were helpful before and during our stay. Would love to go back!

Gorgeous property, stunning views from all the bedrooms, miles of pristine beaches. Lots to do: spear fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, beach volleyball, exploring amazing cays and beaches, meeting the locals at the Regatta. Sandy Cay is a must see. Fantastic vacation!

The absolute perfect location. The water and beaches were the most amazing I have seen. It’s secluded location provided a great spot to spend time with friends. The locals were very friendly and great food/drinks were easy to find on the island. Many opportunities for fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. Would highly recommend spending time at this VRBO.

Great home and Stephanie rocks!

I rented this home for 17 of my friends to celebrate my 40th birthday! From the time of booking to after I got home, Stephanie was absolutely incredible to work with! She had the best recommendations, was super attentive and not to mention the home was gorgeous! It was a great set up for a large group of adults. I still dream about the views and I cannot wait to go back!

Beautiful Property

Shades of Blue was absolutely stunning views of the water. A great piece of real estate. The floorplan was well thought out and accommodating for the extended family. It was perfectly located to George Town. We recommend renting a car if staying here. Stephanie was amazing to work with during the booking process and extremely accessible. Beaurren was great and very communicative if we need any assistance while at the house. We have never rented a place with as much kitchenware as this place and we were pleasantly surprised.

Amazing - A must Stay

Beautiful house with beautiful views. Very large with so much room for 17 people. Great kitchen, amazing pool and hot tub over looking the beach/ocean. The private pool house is super cool, the views of the ocean as you walk through every room are stunning. Stephanie (host) was great, they took care of everything we needed faster then expected. House has everything you need. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much!

Extended Family Vacation

Overall the property is very well kept. We came as a large extended family of 10 with ages 9 through 83. Plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone to enjoy down time. Kitchen is large and we cooked in every night. Plenty of seating for all. Family room is very comfortable. We also rented the pool house. I highly recommend staying there. We had a couple of items and property manager came right out to take care of it all. We had a wonderful time!

Exuma Oasis

This property was truly amazing... modern and clean. An excellent layout for the larger group that we were. The most amazing ocean colours /view I have ever seen. Beautiful ocean sunrises from the beach side and great sunsets from the island side balcony. The house was in a nice quiet part of the island but close enough to town for amenities and night-life. The owner (Greg) was also very helpful in getting us setup and organized. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

A Lifetime Experience!

Our group of 11 had an amazing experience in Little Exuma. The home itself was great with Spectacular views! We enjoyed laying out by the infinite pool watching the ocean as well taking adventures exploring the beaches or kayaking to the island. Judy was an amazing host and def helped turn this into this into an unforgettable trip. She helped guide us on where to eat locally and set up a boat tour for our guest. We had a beautiful sunrise wedding out on the beach, it was very early but the views were gorgeous. We appreciate everything Judy did for us and for Greg allowing us to enjoy his Amazing home on beach. It was an experience on a Lifetime.

Great Expectations

We went into this vacation with high expectations and this property did not disappoint. After a day of hectic travel all of the stress melted away after we walked through the doors of the Shades of Blue house. Greg, Judy and Beauren made sure that our anniversary trip went off without a hitch and that all of our 12 guests enjoyed themselves. Judy had the house stocked with groceries and even had her girls come over a couple nights and cook dinners for us! If you want to come relax and enjoy the beautiful waters of the Bahamas this is the place for you. The house is placed perfectly between the lazy river and Tropic of Cancer Beach. You can’t beat it! We will definitely be back! Thanks again!

Best girl trip ever!

From the moment I arrived, I felt the stress completely leave my body! We were greeted with a cold beer and there was someone to help with our bags which were loaded into the air conditioned SUV. We were driven to the private luxury beach house in only twenty minutes! The experience started with first setting eyes on the property and walking into a perfectly kept gorgeous home! My first impression stepping foot inside took my breath away with the views and decorations that lend itself to indoor-outdoor living! The home had a well thought out design with attention to detail The atmosphere at night was beautiful with the indoor-outdoor lighting and colour changing pool lights! The beach was spectacular and the ocean was a beautiful, crystal clear turquoise colour! I could not ask for anything more. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Annual Group Trip to the Caribbean!

We just returned from Little Exuma with 10 of our best friends. Mr. Heibert could not have been more accommodating. The day before we left he called me and informed us the dishwasher was broken in the house we were renting and would be fixed in a couple of days. This wasn't an issue at all to our group but Greg, went above and beyond and offered us the house he owned next door with a working dishwasher. The house couldn't have been better from the modern decor, to the infinity pool, to each bedroom having its own bathroom. Early in the week we met a local resident named Theo, who couldn't have been more accommodating. He helped us with transportation to and from town, which is about 20 minutes, along with boating and outdoor activities including spear fishing, diving, and enjoying cocktails at Chat and Chill. We highly recommend finding someone like Theo to help with any and all local activities. It truly helped make the vacation a memorable one. We enjoyed Little Exuma so much that a few of us will be going back in late January to further explore the island!

Beautiful Home with amazing view

The house is very nice and well kept. The view of the turquoise ocean from anywhere you are standing is amazing! The drive from the airport or to get to anywhere is no less than 40 minutes, so get your groceries first. You do NOT want your view/time to be overgrown trees and pot holes trying to get back to town for more supplies. A case of beer ~$50. A box of Kraft Mac/Chez ranges from $2 to $5 so check their shelves for Best Buy. Absolutely no consistency in pricing of identical item and confirm total at the end of every transaction is correct. Like really?? Let’s add that again. We rented a pontoon 3 days, but high wind did not allow the 3rd day. Enjoyed the boat ride and beachside restaurants. Honestly, if you plan on spending quality time at the house with family or friends this place is perfect. Don’t plan on watching any tv! Host sent us help but it just wasn’t meant to be, so my late night chill down time in front of Netflix was not possible. Last two things, but most important- bring bug spray or baby oil or whatever is needed to defend against sand fleas!! AND the master suite has an outdoor shower and it was awesome.

Our new favorite destination

We travel frequently. Mostly opting toward 5-star resorts & luxury hotels. This place, hands down, was, by far, our favorite spot we’ve ever visited. The home itself exceeded our expectations in all ways. The vibe is surreal, zen. The owner & staff were nothing short of amazing. Communication, amenities, recommendations & service were on point. Posted on the most beautiful part of the Caribbean I’ve ever visited. The layout of the home itself was perfect. The bonus room upstairs was awesome. The beds were so comfortable. In fact we both said we felt we slept better here than we do in our own bed. Everything from towels, to bedding to blankets that were provided were high quality. I work remote & the wi-fi was amazing! Tranquil VIEWS from every window that take your breath away. From the moment you enter the front door. There’s nothing we could compare this to. We’ve been to Turks, Greece, bora-bora. This just hit different. Sunrises, sunsets & everything in between were breathtaking. The guest quarters felt exclusive. This place would be fantastic for larger parties. Pool/spa=amazing. The private beach was great! The in-person experience was better than anticipated. The local spots were so chill & the islanders are great. We paid for a fishing excursion with the owner & caught Durado, Wahoo & a tuna. Best fish we’ve ever had. We cooked some there and brought the rest home. There’s cool beach bars and stop offs. Once in a lifetime experience…

Beautiful home that is perfectly located- but home was unclean

I wasn't planning to write a review as I thought issues could be communicated/resolved with the owner privately but that did not occur. PROS- The house is beautiful, has a great floor plan, has unbelievably gorgeous views, is perfect for a large group, and is located on one of the most amazing beaches in Little Exuma. Judy and Chef Anne were wonderful to work with and were always available to help. They both went above and beyond to provide food and services for our group. CONS- The place is gorgeous but is very weathered. The house was not clean. There were greasy fingers all over the windows from the baby who occupied the house prior to us. The oven was filthy (was not usable). The walls in the kitchen had coffee? stains on them, and the cabinets had dried food caked on them. The bathrooms had stains on the walls, and hairs in the sinks from the prior guests. The place had not been dusted in a really long time! These are all things that could be easily remedied for future guests if the place underwent a very deep "spring cleaning". I conveyed our concerns to the owner by email, he initially was very responsive- he offered a monetary remedy but never followed through. Just want to point out that I did not ask for a monetary remedy, it was offered to me......then crickets.

Amazing people, views, food, experience!

A group of 4 couples ventured to Shades of Blue for my wife's 40th birthday. House - amazing property in a great location. The money was definitely put into the right spots - the infinity pool and hot tub, the expansive windows, and the sliding glass doors. The house may be showing some age in a couple areas, light bulbs and air vents seem to be loose in their ceiling sockets (and we had one air vent in the master fall from the ceiling on our 2nd to last night), but the house overall was in great shape. We finally figured out the mini split in the main living area the last night, wish we would have had instructions on that, but no worries as we kept the doors open most of the time we were there due to the constant 15mph winds during our stay. It kept it cool and no bugs to complain about. Outdoor shower off the master was great! It wouldn't drain well but was fixed immediately the next day, as was the hot tub that seemingly wasn't getting to 100 degrees (was windy, had an affect on temp). Location - good spot. We drove more than we thought we were going to never having been to Exuma, to Georgetown market and back for provisions, and to the various spots up and down the island and across the harbor, but never in the van too long. Driveway is rough but didn't seem to bother our rental van and its 13" tires. lol Amenities: Only thing that couldn't keep up with us during our stay was the ice maker, so had to buy extra ice to keep in the other freezer by the laundry. Only thing I didn't give 5 stars was the cleanliness, which is probably hard for a beach house with all the sand, but the cleaning crew could do a bit better job on prepping the place w/r/t hair and some of the bathrooms. Overall, very responsive owners and maintenance staff. We did not get the chef and used other recs as far as rental cars (Berlies) but had a great 6 nights at this location. It is close to the best beaches on the southern side of the island (recommend CoCoPlum w/swings and Hoopers w/turtles north of the airport). Santanas, Mamas Bakery, Rusty Anchor, Sonia's by water taxi, Elvis Water Taxi, Exuma Market, Prime Meats, 700 liquors by shell station, Lighthouse ice cream, Splash bar and grill all favorites. Enjoy your stay, the shades of blue never disappoints. **MUST kayak to the Pigeon Cay across the water. We did through 15mph winds since it wasn't any less during our stay. Great reef to the north of island, and lizards come and greet you.
