“We have stayed at Appel Valley Villas a couple times now. Even though the space is small, there’s everything you need. We did notice that the comforter needed to be washed and there were extra pillows but no pillow cases, otherwise no real issues. We will be coming back to visit soon.”

“My husband & I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Everything was well described about the unit, amenities, dining, & surrounding areas as it actually is. Super clean, quiet, well decorated, & well equipped unit everything you could need during your stay, including amenity passes & extra phone charging cords, as well as a notebook & books about things to do while in the area. We also had some awesome experiences with wildlife during our stay! Next time we’re in the area, we plan to rent this……

“The room smelled a little musty. There was a hole in the bathroom wall by the shower. The outdoor patio furniture could probably be updated but other than that - for the price you pay and what all is included i would highly encourage anyone to stay here and will definitely be coming back again!”

“First time exploring Rutherfordton area. Cabin was convenient to restaurants and shops there and convenient to Lake Lure Chimney Rock area as well.”

“We've been to Rumbling Bald before so no real 'surprises'. This trip we had a massage, played some tennis, rented a pontoon boat and played pool, at Legends. Cons: wifi is spotty everywhere, twisty/winding roads and limited food choices. The patio furniture was a little worn, there were a few crumbs on the floor upon arrival, and the bed was not comfortable (to us) Pros: Victory Cafe, The Lake House. The views are spectacular and Rumbling Bald has something for everyone. The condo is perfect……

“This place was quiet, clean, and located within walking distance of the quaint little town with nice shops. Apartment was nice, comfortable and quiet.”

“We stayed here so my husband could compete in the sprint triathlon at Lake Lure and it was just what we needed! A clean quiet place to rest and recharge for each day! The amenities included at Rumbling Bald (which was so close) were fantastic, our kids loves the beach and the pool and lazy river. We will be back!”

“We stayed here for a wedding downtown and couldn't be more pleased! It was the perfect location for our different events. The house was spacious, clean, and beautiful, every detail was perfect. The ottoman was large enough for our 3rd guest to sleep comfortably. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well! The host was friendly and quick to respond. Couldn't recommend this place more.”
