Water Front Inn

"Room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. I had to move the floor lamp across the room, so it was next to the desk so that I had enough light to work on my laptop. I also had to move the small table and light to the right side of the bed so my wife had a light to read from and somewhere to place her cell phone so it could recharge during the night. All modern rooms should have adequate plug-in receptacles for their cell phones, laptops, tablets etc. Our room had quite a few but there were no spare electrical plugs close to the desk, so I had to unplug the coffee maker. Not a problem but a recharging station with 110V and USB-A ,B and C receptacles needs to be on top of the desk, so it isn't necessary to get on your knees and or move furniture around to plug stuff in. The small balcony was very welcome and appreciated in the late fall warm weather we were lucky enough to experience. The bathroom was newly upgraded with all new and modern fittings, so it had a nice fresh feeling to it. The location had us a bit worried when we arrived as it looked to be in the middle of an industrial area. But it was very quiet throughout the night. There was a large marina with a lot of live-aboards on sailboats and some powered cruisers close by. There were a few good bars and restaurants to serve the boaters. The Indian restaurant across the street and the small cafe next door served excellent food with good service. The bar next door had a good outdoor area too."

"A very fun and interesting historical place to stay. My husband and I stayed in one of the newer studios and my son stayed in one of the old brothel rooms. Both rooms were fun, well kept, and comfortable. Excellent location. We would definitely book here again."

"Location, location, location!!! This house has a fantastic view and is conveniently located close to the Port Townsend ferry, Coupeville, and Langley.I spent most of the time on the patio enjoying that view. So beautiful and peaceful. I didn’t want to leave!The house is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is well supplied. Bruce was extremely communicative and responsive and even allowed me to check in early. The only two very minor quibbles would be there is no venting fan in the kitchen (I cooked the entire time so I could maximize patio time!) and the shower could use a good cleaning. But neither would cause me to hesitate staying there again."

"We really enjoyed our two night stay. Comfortable beds and enough space for a family of 5. We were mostly out exploring Whidbey during the day. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for breakfast and evening meals. The home was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The view from the front room and deck is amazing. A couple of things to note: jets from the local naval base preformed training flights starting around sunset for a couple of hours. It didn’t really bother us and even fascinated our kids as a few flew right over, but something to note if you are sensitive to the noise or early to bed. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and there isn’t anything within walking distance. This was just fine for us, We really enjoyed exploring the island. The location was central for travel south or north to all that Whidbey has to offer. Beautiful island! We would defiantly stay again."

"Great location for visiting Whidbey due to it being close to the middle of the island. The house is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of amenities including coffee pods and a variety of tea, basic cooking spices, oils, etc. bathrooms had not only hand soap but also had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Huge dining table and nice living room seating. We plan on coming back in the near future!!"
