The property itself is a vast collection of rooms in various buildings. The one we were in was across the street above a commercial shop. Unfortunately they seem to have a problem getting staff. This was reflected in the room where the many stains on the carpet were off putting. Additionally, the availability of food was an issue. While they have a nice restaurant, it is only open for dinner. The hotel has a couple of nice large rooms in which they could provide a continental breakfast typical of rooms at their price point but that is not available. When asked about breakfast they say we need to go to the grocery store.

This is more like a B&B than a hotel. It is an old building that shows its age. Downstairs rooms look to a common balcony which can be noisy during the day. The shower was not easy to work and it just showed its age. On pros side, beautiful area and the restaurant next door was great.

This is the 2nd time I stayed at Hotel Limpia. It's clean and comfortable. The festive decorations added to the homey comforts of a grand manor. The staff is helpful and cheerful. Location is great, right in the middle of town. You may want to wear earplugs at night if you are sensitive to noise from the street or the AC.

Make sure to check whether you're staying at the main hotel or cottages across the street. Cottage we stayed in was in need of some renovations, and showers were very small.

Such a cute property! Our room was across the street from the main hotel in Casa Limpia and it was just perfect. Super clean, incredibly comfortable bed, and there is a shared 2nd floor balcony right outside the room. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone and we’ll return anytime we’re in or around Fort Davis.

Never stay here if you have any other choices.
If you have any other choice, DO NOT stay here. The check-in experience was the most inept that I’ve ever seen. The condition of our room was deplorable. By the front door was a broken lamp, with the top part hanging sideways. We were unable to sit in our front room at night because NONE OF THE DOOR SHADES worked at all, letting all who walked past look in. The tub’s enamel was so worn away that it just looked filthy. The room had a window air conditioner, which turned on and off all night long, resulting in terrible sleep. Worst of all was the management. I was SO dissatisfied, after paying over $220.00 for this room, that I called the hotel, looking for a further discount. It took 5 phone calls (!), to finally be told that nothing will be done for me. Both the manager and the general manager spouted inaccuracies, false assurances and platitudes. We had rented 2 rooms, THAT is why I requested a discount. Our friends’ room had NO window A/C, no broken lamp, and had fully close able window shades—again, facing the parking lot! This direct comparison proves that my room was NOT equal to the room next door. So, if any of this sounds good to you, please stay here. I have never been treated so poorly, not paid so much, for a room in all my life. Also, I’ve never once left a scathing review in over 40 years of travel, so this is no embittered, serially- unhappy reviewer. In all decency, one shouldn’t have to shell out over $220.00 for a room in such disgusting condition.

There were dead June bugs in room no soap or shampoo in wall containers spider webs in corners. AC worked great bed was comfortable very small tv hard to see from bed. Overall it served it's purpose for one night

Our first stay, usually at Indian Lodge. This was a step up! We got there and the front desk had a call out and no one there to check us in. Sign said 2 hour wait til 6. A housekeeper made a call and then a young man showed up to take care of it all. He wasn;t even suppose to be working that afternoon. That was nice. The rooms across the street had a balcony that we sat on and watched cars go by. The room was cozy, clean, comfy. We had friends staying on the same floor and it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Breakfast down the street was good. The night sky was nice even thouh it was a strange rainy week. The only thing I didn;t care for were thebed pillows. Our friend said they were "Chiclet" pillows. The were small and square. But I made do. It was a good weekend. Going again to watch a meteor shower in August!

The casita is overpriced for what you get. Two beds in room that I’d consider “okay” on the cleanliness scale. I expected more from a hotel named Limpia. Over $200/night. Why? It’s totally overpriced.

Very cute and relaxing hotel with some interesting history in Fort Davis. A vintage hotel. But absolutely the best feature is to sit in their outdoor garden and watch the sky! Also, you’ll love the drive drive. Best if in the early morning or at dusk.
