“From the moment we checked in, we felt welcome and in a relaxing space. The owners of this boutique hotel have put much effort into making it a special place that exudes calm and kindness. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet at night (the walls are thick, so one doesn't hear the neighbors). The interor garden with a pool is a lovely refuge. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and just a short walk to the lovely water of the lagoon. We highly recommend……

“Room was clean and quiet. 5 minute walk to the centro plaza. Lots of restaurant choices. 8-10 minute walk to the lagoon.”

“Enjoyed the pool , lots of plant seeds in pool .. but this is to be expected as it is surrounded by large plants 😃.breakfast was good , and free . Game and library was nice to have at night with a drink . Alejandro , young bartender was super nice . Staff was super helpful with allowing out baggage to be kept in hotel whilst our room was being prepared. I received a note in too. Saying enjoy your free gift ? Have no clue what gift they meant . Oh well lol . Free beach towels and bag for day……

“Recomendado totalmente. Para descansar, cómodo, limpio y ordenado. Solo tapar el olor a drenaje en ocasiones, y que pongan más papel falta. El desayuno súper rico y de diez. La atención de las personas increíble también. Es sencillo y económico, pero súper accesible para visitar Bacalar y estar cerca de la laguna. Es tranquilo, tiene todo a su sencillez, pero excelente. Lo seleccionaría otra vez.”

“A family run small hotel right by the seafront. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The owners were also helpful and kind. No breakfast but there is a clean and well equipped kitchen to make your own food. Shower had good hot water. The only thing lacking was a blanket. ”

Partial lagoon view from Tapir Room, storing our luggage and letting us use the oceanfront after check-out, the dock was awesome, walkable location from el Centro, simple yet satisfying breakfast. Fan and A/C options. The property is gorgeous. Cons: room is a bit weathered, smelled musty/moldy, corner near A/C looked moldy, window swollen so couldn’t open much, lack of attention in housecleaning and maintenance (ashtray overflowing from prior guest, freezer……
