「A fantastic, authentic place to stay in Bacalar. We loved the place, the beautiful view, the great food and the incredibly friendly service. Therese is a lot of activities arranged day and night at the place. Please note that you can book boat tours on the lagoon directly from the property, so there’s no need to book in advance. Also note its is from 18 years. 」

「There is no onsite parking even though it says there is. We parked on the street. Room clean. Bathroom nice. Lots of hot water. Free water, coffee, tea in common area. Cute little welcome basket of Mexican candy. Cute and artsy. 」

「A very decent, economic place to stay right by one of the most beautiful places to chill on the lake (the ecological park). Originally booked 2 days, stayed 5. The rooms are spotless, the staff professional, friendly and accommodating, and the vibe chill and domestic. The breakfast is good. The location is fantastic. I walked to the ecological park every day to swim, tan and read. 」

「Jungla Bacalar was a little slice of heaven. Peaceful, clean, lovely macrame art by Leti hanging everywhere, great breakfast, right near the lagoon, and really lovely hosts and guests. Book it! You won’t be disappointed!」

「One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed. Amazing jungle setting, super cool rooms with amazing decor, romantic lighting, thatch walls, outdoor shower, awesome plunge pool at the front door. We loved the cats everywhere, the open air reception lounge, awesome, friendly staff and beautiful lagoon. This place was like a super cool, semi fancy Gilligans island. If you like boring, beige, generic hotel chains, don’t come here. 」

「A family run small hotel right by the seafront. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The owners were also helpful and kind. No breakfast but there is a clean and well equipped kitchen to make your own food. Shower had good hot water. The only thing lacking was a blanket. 」
