We stayed here to celebrate our sons high school graduation. It was perfect for our family and a couple of his friends. The back patio area was a favorite for the kids! The location was great and we will definitely come back!

We had a really good time,the house makes you feel like home,we loved it if you have a small family its a perfect house we had a blast and will return a next time..only thing we didnt liked was the back porch because the neighbors could see everything we were doing yall might wanna get a taller fence lol..anything else was perfect..

This property is in a really good, quiet area. There were zero problems with noise at night.(there was even a rooftop party across the street that we hardly even noticed. They were very respectful of the noise level.)It is a very handy location to walk to the beach, or to Alvin’s Island to shop. Don’t miss the ice cream shop right next to Alvin’s! There’s a coffee shop, DQ close by as well. In reference to an earlier review that said they needed to update the technology, here is what I gathered...the TVs are old enough that you cannot stream shows wirelessly. They need hard wired internet. (They only have WiFi)That being said, bring a Roku or WiFi compatible laptop or expect to not watch anything if you’re staying in. (unless it’s dvds) The cable channels provided are very basic and won’t help you in your quest to watch a preferred show. You will need everything, down to the spices and condiments to cook if you choose to do so. You will need to buy shampoo if you take more than a couple showers. They are sample size. If you have frizzy hair, just bring your own. My hair really suffered with the provided conditioner. Also bring laundry detergent. The beach access we used had chairs and umbrellas set up on the nice days. There were a couple problems , but the property managers really did a great job to resolve the issues. They also followed up with a phone call on my personal message with them.(which I did appreciate) Rent the place if you get a chance! You won’t regret it.

House, check in , etc. was great! However, the power of VRBO - that we have been using for almost 20 years for multiple trips per year - is in the renters feedback. 4 days into our trip at 7PM we were given 45 to leave the property or the police were being called. No discussion, no complaints we were aware of, nothing. One phone call from Jonathan that was after-hours with no one from RealJoy willing to review the rental agreement with us and discuss any issue. Tony showed up 10 minutes later, checked IDs and again no discussion was allowed. It was a scary and frantic situation that I have never been put in, EVER! Our group vacated, spent the next 4 hours finding a new place for 8 people to relocate…only to discover the next day that the family coming in next had called and requested to come early. I guess it was worth it to evict us, attempt to keep our money and rent the property again. The story from RealJoy Vacation Rentals changed several times over the next 2 days and we are ultimately leaving it up to Visa with a chargeback to hopefully help us! Simply put - it was a nightmare - BEWARE!

We had a good experience staying here. Very clean and comfy beds! The first code we were sent didn’t work, but customer service was about to help me fairly quickly! Parking was easy in and out! Would stay here again!

Excellent location and within walking distance to the beach. Only recommendation for the owner would be to replace the bedroom carpeting (stained) and living room couch/chairs (worn and flat). Those small updates would make this house a perfect little hideaway.

There is nothing better than Southern Comfort in the Gulf of Mexico!!! It was an amazing beach house and we absolutely loved it!!! We did not want to leave and cannot wait to come back!

I have a 4 year old with a disability and the property was great for her to safely navigate the home. The location from the beach was very nice. The home had cookware and bath towels but aside from that you will need to bring pretty much everything. Upon arriving the home smelled STRONGLY of marijuana. The stench stuck around in the master bedroom for a couple Of days. We did notify management and they offered to come out. Someone came out after we spoke with a friendly neighbor about the odor. I’m assuming it was from the previous guest at the house. That wasn’t the fault of the property manager as there are no smoking signs posted. The codes we were given for the beach access and the pool were incorrect. That wasn’t a property manager issue as it seemed to be a common thing with everyone staying in the area. We had a nice stay and the kids enjoyed the cozy feel of the house. The charcoal smoker in the back was awesome For quick dinners.
