“The staff was incredibly friendly and inviting. However, we were disappointed to find the pool was closed upon arrival. Upon check in we found used floss and candy wrappers on the nightstand which made me concerned about overall cleanliness but didn’t find anything else out of place. ”

“Was a very quaint, well-kept and well-run Motel. Where it fell from 5 to 4 stars was on comfort. Beds were hard, pillows flimsy, and the shower near impossible to modulate hot and cold. The owner/person working the front desk was excellent, friendly and helpful.”

“Lots of good to say about this place. Lovely surroundings and truly quiet (could occasionally hear passing cars on the highway, but the cabin is a decent distance away and the amount of traffic is fairly light). Lots of walkable, even hikeable, areas on the property. Cozy furnishings, though dining room table is tiny, even for one person. Internet is decent - I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to work there (LAN connection) and stream, but not sure how that would go with more than one……

“Great location for the area around Spearfish, Lead and Deadwood. Hiking and biking close-by and views from the apartment are fabulous. Very confortable and well-equipped condo.”

“If you like rustic and simple, the peacefulness of the country and being "off the grid" you are gonna Love this place! Enjoy the thrill as you drive down the miles of winding gravel roads wondering if the next bend is your destination. And finally you are there... feel the peace as you slowly roll down the drive... no traffic, no noise, no hassle.
