“It was an amazing experience. Little updated furniture but the location was great!!”

“I hated the location as I came by Amtrak. It is almost two miles from downtown and on a highway that is anything but pedestrian friendly. The first day of my stay, there was almost no hot water and the management did not seem to notice that. They fixed it after I complained on the second day. For $240 a night (note-my downtown Washington DC hotel the night before my arrival in St. Albans was $150.), this hotel was not worth it!”

“Wonderful couple ran the inn. Great breakfast and very clean room!!”

“On a scale of one to five, I would give this property a six! Not only are the quaint cabins in the woods clean and modern, but there are plenty of extras: Firewood for the wood stove; coffee; Adirondack chairs on the porch overlooking the pond; Walking trails around their huge property. Why wouldn't you want to come back every year?”

“A really cool place that is well-maintained and cozy. Hope they stay in business for a long time, because I will surely be returning!”

“Jason is incredible. He arranged the greatest color in years just for our stay. The breakfast and rooms were perfect, too.”

“DO NOT STAY HERE——What should have been a relaxing stay turned into an infuriating and exhausting ordeal due to gross negligence and unprofessional conduct by the property management company overseeing this privately owned condo. On my second day I left briefly for breakfast and after I returned I was shocked to discover that the door code to my condo did not work, leaving me locked out of the property. I called the property management office multiple times before anyone answered. When I……

“Clean condo, kitchen had all you needed, close to Mogul Mouse lift. ”

“Owner is responsive by email, tort is charming, and furniture is comfy and bright but the port-a-potty was far away, the lights were either all on or all off, there were many spaces where bugs can come in, and there was an “outdoor shower” with cold water and zero privacy curtain. Parking is not well marked and another guest parked in our spot, which we complained about but we were told to park in another spot further away.”

“WARNING: Host will wait until you check in and then tell you that the booking is for less days than confirmed and use predatory practices saying you have to accept the initial days to process through the request for the final day. The host knew they could only book for the shorter days because that was on the paper work at check in. They didn’t want us to cancel the whole trip, which we would have done, so they waited to inform us until after check in and driving 10.5 hours knowing we were……

“The house was as pictured. It was close to the slopes so we didn't have to catch a shuttle. There were no issues with hot water even though 4 people were sharing it. Garrett was super responsive to my messages. It was a great place to stay. Nichole”

“Very easy place to stay! Open for us (unlocked) to arrive. Parking right by the front door for unloading. Clean, straight forward, everything as described - no questions or issues. Would definitely book again if we have a need!”

“Lovely Home! Quiet, secluded, fantastic for a long weekend in the woods. No issues with the hosts at all! Love the property.”

“Overall, we had a great visit to the Smuggs area and the unit was fun and acceptable for our needs, albeit some info about the unit was left off the listing or under communicated... ProsLocation!
