“We come to Detroit Lakes about 5 times a year. This is the first time we’ve stayed here and we are SO HAPPY we found this gem. They sell pizzas that they’ll cook for you. Great for the kids. Clean rooms. Very warm hot tub. Shampoo and conditioner pumps in the bathrooms. Amazingly friendly staff. We found our new place!! ”

“We had received towels from the housekeeper. When I went to use the bath towels after my shower they were full of long black hairs. I got them on my face and body when drying off. They were also in the tub. Disgusting!!! We had the manager call and got no where with a reasonable compromise as he told us we booked it with a third party(Expedia).”

“We loved staying at the quality inn when we stay in Detroit Lakes 5 times a year. But the last three times we stayed the water slides and hot tub have been out of order. Which is the man reason we used to stay here. The staff has always been amazing and breakfast is great. But with five kids, we are always so disappointed to show up and the slides and/or hot tub aren’t working. ”

“This place goes downhill every single year. We stay with a group for Christmas for the last 15 years. Wallpaper is peeling, you are charged for a “resort fee” but the pools aren’t even always working. Dining is subpar. Rooms are very dated and getting worse every year. I think it’s time for our family to move on from thumper pond. ”
