“A good cheap overnight stay. Old but well maintained and clean accommodation”

“Upon arrival at the motel we were concerned , it is currently undergoing major reconstruction and renovation, this is not mentioned in the motels site listing on Expedia. It looks like a demolition site and we were not even sure if we had the right place. Upon finding the office a friendly enough gentleman checked us in and sort of apologised for the state of the place. Our room in the remaining block of units was clean and tidy, the only real issue being the tv not working, which turned out……

“Overall, the quality of the room is pretty poor. When we got to the property, the door was insanely hard to open we thought we’d been given the wrong key, only after kicking the bottom of it did it open. Once we were in, there was no normal lock and the door handle was sagging so we weren’t sure if it was actually locked or not so I had to place a chair in-front of the door, just in case. The floors were DISGUSTING, after I had showered and got into bed, the amount of stuff that came off my……

“The staff were lovely. The room was clean and had so many things for the kids to do around the park. We loved our stay.”

“We had a lovely stay at Beachcomber Toukley. Our room had a wonderful view overlooking the pool and the lake, which made our stay even more relaxing. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that the small sofa in the room had quite a few stains on it, which made it look worn and could do with a thorough clean or replacement. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Thank you for a great experience!”

“Booked a family room for 1 night, 1 Queen bed and 2 singles but was given much smaller room upon checking in, this mistake was quickly rectified. Family Room is very spacious and was affordable given it was school holiday weekend. The room has heating so it was nice and cosy for winter. We were surprised to find Netflix here as well, which was a bonus. Would recommend for a quick weekend getaway.”

“The air con wasn't working, and I approached the staff and was told that they can't do anything. No staff was available to even look at the reason why the air con wasn't working. It could have simply been a tripped circuit breaker, but no one was even available to check. I had driven the whole day and was extremely tired by the time I reached the property and could not sleep the whole night. I woke up terribly tired after whatever sleep I could get during the night.
