We appreciated the hospitality from the owners who were on-site, but gave us all the privacy we needed. The cottage was clean and cozy, the grounds were beautiful, and the dock was well equipped including a continuous running live well! Thanks Richard for a great time at the cottage!

We had a great time. The location is very relaxing and we really enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the host being on site but not intrusive. We really appreciated all the extra firewood so we could keep our fire burning during our entire visit. We highly recommend to everyone!

The property at Bayou Oaks was clean and just as described. The owners are on sight and are available, but not nosey. Dining and shopping were 20 minutes away and an easy drive. We intend to go back for fishing and relaxing.

Beautiful home, wonderful location and extremely peaceful. Just what my husband and I were hoping for the weekend. We fished in Bastrop and Christmas Bays with great success. Took advantage of the private pier on the property to fish at night. Also did some kayaking. Marina is less than 5 minutes away. Owners are a delight and shared tips about the area. Look forward to a return stay!

First entering the home the house is a pictures and very beautiful inside. So fresh and clean and well put together with the decorations. Second entering the back yard is what really caught our eye. Just and overall nice set up leading to the pier to fish. We caught so many types of fish, crabs, and two alligator gar but almost caught three. It was just so much fun hanging out at this location. We will definitely love to spend time at your place again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with the Williams Family.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans which made making meals easy. The view from the back porch was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful and a great escape from the city.

We happened upon this listing while looking for a (last minute) spring break getaway. I took my mother, my 11 yoa daughter and her friend. The girls absolutely LOVED the upstairs “crowsnest” and porch. Bayou Oaks was absolutely perfect! Only 15 minutes from Surfside beach. I can’t wait to take my husband back for a grown up fishing date weekend . Thank you so much to the Elliots , who were wonderful hosts.
