It’s a beautiful newer hotel. Rooms are spacious and shower/bathroom is really nice. You can walk to restaurants and great breakfast at Kaiser down the street. They also have a nice little bar with great drinks

New and not far to city

Modern and new hotel 3-4 tram stops to the city. Check-in was very fast, room and bathroom are spacious. Breakfast is standard and plentiful, very pleased with the wide selection of breads and pastries, as well as the (bagged) tea. Unfortunately the bar at the reception only works from 6pm.

Avoid. We checked in having booked a 4 person room (2 adults and 2 children). When we arrived the lady checking us in told us that there wasn't a 4 person room available so they would give us a sofa bed. When we got to the room the sofa bed was only a single (in additind hadn't double bed) and hadnt been made up. I went to question this, I was told they would come and put a second sofa bed in. The same staff members then came to the room to make up the first sofa bed for us while we went out for a walk. We came back a couple of hours later and there was still no second sofa bed. At this point it was gone 9pm and my children were very tired. When I questioned the bed situation again at Reception a male member of staff was incredibly rude and told me to take it up with Expedia who apparently sell 4 person rooms when the hotel isn't able to cater for that. I questioned why the hotel's booking system didn't cancel these bookings with the man on Reception who couldn't give me an answer and made some comment about Expedia being able to sell whatever they want which is out of the hotel's control. I also asked him why we hadn't been told when we checked in that the room wouldn't accommodate 4 and he said most people just let their youngest child sleep in bed with them rather than raise the issue (my youngest is nearly 6 so not small anymore). I pointed out that was for me to decide especially when I had paid for a room to accommodate 4 of us. When I asked to speak to a manage

Used it as base of vacation trips. Good connected with tram to inner city and main station. Clean and new Interieur, room compact but suited for price. Breakfast menu a bit pricy for the variety and quality. My advice would be to visit nearby bakery that offers quite the same but cheaper. We did not use the sport or other optional services. We would totally stay again, great hotel if you are looking for flexibility within a low cost high value segment

In the room there was a cosy reading corner which is nice, especially when there is a heavy thunder storm outside like it happened the first day I stayed there. Never-the-less vital things are missing like: the street address "Elisabeth-Geissler-Ruckmich-Straße 10" is quite unknown even to many locals. This is because the street signs with the proper are missing. On Your virtual map the description how to get there is not sufficient. Maybe you should add which public transport city line is taking you there. Not everybody is using a car. Instead of a close entrance which is locked the guests have to walk a long U-turn. This is quite challenging when using heavy luggage. Room Service was fast, good and very professional. No doubt. However, the bathroom ventilation gave a smell of stale cigarette smoke. The box of cleenex and two dispensers with a liquid serving as some sort of shower gel and shampoo at the same time is a bit low. Normal hotels standard would be welcomed. Finally, when booking in advance via internet it would be nice to have the full price in order to transfer. Honestly, it was not very funy after a long hard ride on the train plus 38 degrees Celsius plus heavy luggage being addressed by your lady-recptionist to cover the extra expense or "local tax" as she called it. The normal standard would be fine instead.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Vienna by Wyndham Freiburg insgesamt sehr genossen. Das Hotel bietet eine moderne, stilvolle Atmosphäre und liegt verkehrsgünstig – ideal für einen Familienaufenthalt in Freiburg. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich den hervorragenden Service: Aufgrund eines Buchungsfehlers über Expedia (es wurde eine falsche Zimmeroption angezeigt), zeigte sich das Hotel sehr kulant und lösungsorientiert. Uns wurde unkompliziert ein Schlafsofa sowie ein zusätzliches Beistellbett für unsere drei Kinder kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt – das war wirklich großartig und hat unseren Aufenthalt deutlich angenehmer gemacht. Das Personal wat stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch der allgemeine Zustand des Hotels war sehr ansprechend. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft die Sauberkeit des Zimmers: Die Handtücher waren leider nicht ganz frisch, und es lagen noch ein paar Haare auf dem Boden. Das trübte den ansonsten sehr guten Eindruck ein wenig, war aber kein gravierender Mangel. Insgesamt können wir das Vienna by Wyndham Freiburg definitiv weiterempfehlen – besonders Familien werden den aufmerksamen Service zu schätzen wissen.
