"This hotel was the best property I been in my entire Alaskan vacation. Even the preprinted guide to Homer was a well thought out idea and a great way to make my stay memorable. The newly renovated building was so detailed and beautiful"

"I really enjoyed this Hotel. Excellent location and very nice people working there. If you like privacy and a beautiful view of the ocean this is a great location! Shopping all over the place, but make sure you don't go to this area after Sep 5th cause a lot of stores are closing and tours. We arrived late in the season and a lot of store were already closed."

"Cabins are cozy with the most beautiful view. Easy to get onto the spit or go to town but far enough away to feel like you’re truly secluded. Already want to come back."

"The beach is amazing as is the view. We were in the first set of rooms right on the beach. It was so nice to leave the window open and listen to the sound of the waves as we fell asleep. It is an older motel, but very well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. I live in Alaska and occasionally go to Homer. I will definitely book with them next time I am in town."

"Easy access, plenty of parking, clean and spacious lodge, stocked with everything you need. Fantastic views, fire pit, spacious interior. Easy drive to shopping and multiple excursions. It is somewhat isolated, but hosts were very communicative and readily available, stopping by almost daily to check on us and offer assistance if needed. Beds were plentiful and extremely comfortable with plenty of bedding, feather soft pillows, extra blankets and fans if needed. They even have extra robes, which we made use of. There were 4 adults in our party, but could easily have accommodated 8 more comfortably. An incredible vacation. The Kilcher family are kind and accommodating. We thank them for a lifetime of memories and hope to visit again!! We spent a week and loved every minute! Thank you"

"Catkin and Tom were beyond welcoming. We stayed at a couple of other places while visiting Alaska, and upon arriving at Glacier View, my husband said, “wow, you saved the best for last”!. We felt very comfortable and right at home."
