Would definitely recommend!

The suite was great, all as described with a great sea view and a pool; it had everything that was needed, cleaning was regular. The only thing - the doors to the bathroom didn’t close, it wasn’t a big issue for us, but it could be for some.

We had a lovely stay the communication has been excellent the apartment was clean with a daily maid coming in apartment is close to the Savoy hotel and excellent restaurants 10minute walk into the centre of Funchal or you can download the bolt app there version of Uber 3.75euros one way will differnatley go back highly recommend.

A lot of walking up steep hill & no elevator, so not for everyone. Was good exercise. No reception person but when contacted cleaning lady she was delightful & helpful!

Nice and recommended

Bruno and Maria are very nice hosts, very helpful and communicative. Nice room with a balcony and small kitchenette, one does not need anything more, spending days driving around island and enjoying its beautiful nature. Parking is on the streets nearby, but there were always few free options when we were arriving, not any problem. Villa Toca is a good option to be close to the city but having a car for travelling around. Walking to port and to the center is 15-20 minutes, going there is direction down and you can go through a nice St Caterina park, a way back is 5 minutes longer, as half way is up to the hill. The street is quite noisy, you can have a breakfast or a dinner on a balcony, if you like it more than in a cafe or restaurant but in the night better to keep doors closed, until you are familiar with city rumours. There is AC though we didn't need to use it.

Bra hotel

Hotellets utmärkta läge, centrum, bussar i närheten 1-5 minuter, stranden 20 minuters promenad. Restauranger, kaféer, mycket stort utbud. Historiska platser - lätta att ta sig till fots och med buss, allt finns i närheten. Hotellet är rent, personalen är utmärkt. En nackdel är lukten av fukt i rummet, men annars är allt toppen. Jag rekommenderar det.

The property was as described, Bruno was very responsive and tha apartment had everything we needed. Only negative was that housekeeping was advertised as daily when in fact bins were only emptied every 2 days.

I didn't like the lodging at first, but I grew to appreciate it a lot. Finding parking was easier after I became accustomed to the Madeira driving & parking habits. I was within walking distance to Downtown Funchal and the fancy Oldtown area. I only needed to drive to my Hiking ventures out in the woods, so I didn't have to worry about parking outside of coming back from a hike. Also, the location is conveneient because of your phone dies and you dont know your way back, just follow the interstate signs for the Hospital because the Vila Toca building is only 3-blocks away.

Predictable and fine

It was for the most part clean and as expected from the pictures. I had some small ants in the bed in the evenings which was not fun. Also the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The cleaning staff kept changing how I chose to air the studio. There should be a door handle sign to tell staff to not come, I didn't need them every other day. I wish I didn't have to set the hot and cold water, a lot of water wasting as I was trying to figure out the right temperature. Pool was very uninviting.

Trevligt boende med ordentligt kök

Vi hade en trevlig vistelse med allt vi behövde i köksväg. Nära till busstationen och kusten. Det blev lite fuktigt i rummet när AC var avstängd, men det kanske är fullt normalt? Polområdet var inte jättebra men duger om man vill ta ett dopp. Sängen var inte den bästa enligt oss.

Die Informationen auf der Hotelscom-Seite sind irreführend, die Unterkunft verfügt über keine Parkmöglichkeiten, man kann den Mietwagen nur auf dem gebührenpflichtigen Parkplatz an der Straße abstellen, außerdem ist es ziemlich weit weg und es ist dort nicht immer sicher.

Malheureusement il n’avait pas de l’eau chaude au début, mais après tous ces tracas c’était très bien. Bravo des gens très accueillant, ils ont résolu le problème très vite parfait rien à dire.
