La Rana, Gaiole in Chianti, Siena and Chianti

The villa enjoys an excellent position in the Chianti Classico region, with easy access to the area’s renowned wineries and castles, as well as its medieval towns and villages. The cultural highlights of Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo can all be reached on day trips. Gaiole in Chianti is just ten minutes away by car and offers several restaurants, small shops, a COOP supermarket and bike rentals.



San Sano itself is a picturesque village full of Tuscan charm. Just a few minutes’ walk from the villa is the popular restaurant La Grotta della Rana, which also stocks a small selection of groceries. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and cycling, and the lovely village of Lecchi in Chianti can also be reached on foot.

La Rana is a two-storey stone house with a thoughtful layout. The ground floor living area opens to the garden, while the bedrooms on the upper floor offer peace and pleasant views. A covered terrace beside the house is perfect for long evenings with good food and wine.
