Amazing stay!

Loved our stay at this quaint rental! Perfect for our family of 3 and pup. Very clean. Loved the surrounding area, including hiking trails and waterfalls. We hope to come back in the future!

Perfect home away from home

We had a mother daughter weekend to celebrate my moms 80th burthday! This place was perfect. Nice secluded spot minutes from Galena.

Cozy cabin

Adorable property 4 miles from town. Very quiet, plenty of parking, easy access to main roads. Cozy back deck overlooking greenery. We had a great girls weekend. Would definatley stay again.

Cozy cottage with extras

We loved how comfy and cozy this place was. Beds were super comfortable and we loved that there was a firepit to use. Neighbors are close, but the layout of the cottages gives you as much privacy as possible. Staying here and driving to Galena was the best of both worlds. Very quiet place in the country with walking paths nearby, but close to town

First Annual Mother Daughter Weekend

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Quaint little house. Amenities were very nice. Property owner very easy to deal with and quite accommodating. Might think about adding ceiling fan in downstairs bedroom. 😊 Would definitely recommend to others!

Great Escape

The property was very clean, quiet, and well equipped. There were plenty of towels and paper products. The Smart TVs had very clear pictures and the controllers were easy to understand. The grounds outside the property were well maintained and the garbage disposal was close by. We enjoyed walking our dog on the paved walking paths.

Exceeded expectations

This property is beautiful inside and out. Nature and hiking trails are breathtaking and right outside the front door. So convenient to downtown Galena too! Communication with host was top notch - clear and concise. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

This is our second stay at this Settlement home. The home is well-equipped for our needs and is comfortable and quiet. The K-cups and coffee provided was a welcomed convenience; many other rentals do not provide his little extra. Thank you!!

Lovely little cabin

Beautiful cottage

Had a great time in Galena. The cottage was very clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable. The cottage was very cutely decorated and was a great little get away, especially with them allowing small dogs. The area is just beautiful. Highly recommend!

Great Cottage. Great Location.

Booked the cottage for holiday weekend. Enjoyed every minute from late afternoon cocktails on the back deck sitting in the warm sun to early morning coffee on the sofa watching tv. This cottage in the settlements is perfect location for hiking the trails up to lookout point or along the lake to the Eagle Ridge lodge. Cottage is stocked with everything needed including an amazingly comfortable king bed, all new kitchen appliances including a very cool fridge plus a new coffee maker and a Keurig machine. Stacy is great to work with and easy to reach. Plenty of top quality towels and so nice to have a new washer dryer in the cottage. The tv is connected to direct tv sat dish so you can watch local news plus sports like Big Ten TV. We really enjoyed watching the Iowa Illinois game Saturday night on the big screen. The cottage is completely redecorated, very clean, and very comfortable. Don’t miss stops in Galena are Blaum Bros Distillery, Jamie’s wine studio for cocktails at the back bar, dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes, and dinner at the Generals in Desoto House.

We enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, quiet and quaint. Internet connection was tempermental, but we think it's the Galena-area in general - difficult to get a good signal anywhere. Property owner was good about communicating instructions and expectations.
