The house is beautiful and for the most part clean. I did think there were a few water bugs in the house but not bad at all. I think we killed 2 and my husband said it comes with being so close to the water. Overall the house was clean and very accurate according to the description. I would stay there again!

Spring break stay

We really enjoyed the stay. The house is close to the beach so you can walk to the beach daily. The area is very clean. We did have to wait to check in as the cleaning service were there past 4 pm, but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful beach trip!

We had an amazing time celebrating our daughter’s 17th birthday with a few friends. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful! The cabin was close to the beach and convenient to Galveston. The girls enjoyed the pool and the game area in the cabin. We will be back!!!

This was a great place for our family. Our daughter recently moved to the area and we needed a place for all of us to stay under one roof and not break the bank.The previous reviews had me a little nervous prior to our arrival. Once we arrived it was very spacious and welcoming.

The couch in the rental was different and smaller than the one shown in the listing, but we made seating work. Unit was mostlyyy clean, though some things could have used a once over or replacement of some items. Having a washer and dryer was convenient for quick loads for our longer stay. There was plenty dishware and cookware to use and a dishwasher, so no need to buy paper or plastic utensils! Some of the dishes needed to be re washed before use, but no biggie. They supplied enough toilet paper and other kitchen or hygeine products to last the whole stay. They were also pet friendly at a fair price which was a big plus for us. For the size and location I feel the price was fair, management was easy to communicate with and would consider using their rental facilities in the future. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely beautiful!!!

We stayed here over the Easter weekend and had a blast. The kids enjoyed the pool and ease of location to the beach. Communication with Russell was great and the property had ample space for all of us enjoy. Will definitely try to stay again.

A Perfect Getaway in Jamaica Beach!

We had the most amazing stay at this vacation rental in Jamaica Beach! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we felt right at home. Great stay for large family

Reserved this VRBO for night before we embarked on a cruise out of Galveston. Plenty of room and beds for our crew of 14. The kids enjoyed the arcade games, ping pong table and foosball table available. We would definitely stay again.

Great experience with this booking. Fantastic entertaining space for you and your friends. Between the pool, fire pit, games, and beautiful deck, your entire party has space to kick back and relax however they like. Location is awesome as well. The washing machine was not working, so that was the only bummer. Overall I highly recommend!

Great house close to the beach

This beach house was perfect for a large group (stayed here with 13 adults) and walking distance to the beach! Having the pool was great, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need (maybe could do with another pan), tons of room for everyone. Would recommend!

Basic: Kitchen is bare bones.

The property has plenty of room with good covered outdoor space and pool. However, the house sleeps 16 and the kitchen only had 7 spoons. The kitchen is basic lacks enough silverware and not one baking sheet. Meals were challenging. Our advice make sure to bring all your cooking supplies.

Great get away, it was just the wife and I. This facility is best suited for a family and friends.

The property appears to be clean and easy to get around. If I had children, I would not allow them on the upper decks without supervision. Some in need of repair to the railings. This property has a great swimming pool and friendly neighbors.

Property is showing a bit of wear and tear but stills nice property. The beds were super comfortable. Main floor flooring is in need of repair but the home is beautiful and close to the beautiful beach where the ice cream truck drives right by. It was so nice to have salt and pepper and coffee. Incidentals were supposed like dish soap and dishwasher tabs, and laundry detergent which made the visit much nicer.

The location was perfect and communication with the host was excellent. Check in and out we’re easy as pie! The house was spacious and the pool was a nice touch. Some of the items in the house, particularly the games/chair upstairs and the couch in the main living room. The flooring in the main area was also damaged and lifting in several areas. Overall it was a great stay and we would come back again

Wonderful for family vacations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful and well-equipped home. The place was very spacious and had plenty of beds for all. The pool was definitely a plus and made our weekend so much fun and entertaining for the entire family. We also like the fact that we were able to bring our for babies. The only thing I would say about that is one of the gates did not latch, so we were always worried that they would escape. That would be the only thing that would need improvement. Other than that we would definitely recommend and stay again!

Such a great weekend in a great home! We had a party of 9 stay in the house comfortably. Ample beds and ample space. The game room!!!! And the pool!!! And Russell was great to work with. The proximity of the house to the beach was only a 6 min walk or 1-2min drive. We thought the downside of the home would be having only 2 bthrms but it totally worked out. No complaints from anyone. We had an amazing weekend.

The property was not what the pictures showed. The couch was falling apart as was the second floor balcony. The management company fixed the couch as well as they could but it did not last long. One of the two bathrooms was clogged up when we arrived. The flooring had tape all over to keep some of the boards down. The best part was the use of a pool.

Friend Reunion

It all worked out and seeing each other as a group after many years overshadowed any issues, but the home was not as nice as photos. There had been a lot of water damage at some point and mildew and mold (I am highly allergic) was overwhelming. It was very evident in the kitchen ceiling and floors. I wish we’d known a little more about the sleeping spaces and privacy and accessibility And we also struggled all weekend to cool the house enough to be able to relax there or sleep comfortably We all loved the pool, though, and sitting poolside and catching up!.Reminiscing and being together made up for any shortcomings!

Given a different house

We booked the A-frame house several months prior to our stay, paid in full a month prior. 24 hours before check-in, we were notifed by the property owner/management company that the A-frame house was not available due to damage to the pool. They offered us another property, not in Jamaica Beach, but looked adequate to accommodate our group of 13. There was back and forth discussion through VRBO emailing about whether property #2 had a pool bc pics didn't show one. Commutations from owner went dark until after 10pm the night before we were set to drive the 6+ hours to Galveston. I finally got in touch with someone who confirmed the change. House number 2 was clean, big, had plenty of space for our group, etc. But in direct line of sight to the beach, essentially in the front yard, is a warehouse facility of some sort. Folks who rent property #2 should know that, but alas, I am not offered a forum to comment on that property so anything else I have to say about that house is kind of a moot point here. We did drive by the A-frame to look at it and it looks fine from the outside, if not a little "over represented" in the VRBO photos. I will add that we did not see renters occupying the A-frame house property (the house we paid for but were relocated out of). The owner made good on the change and we were ultimately satisfied with the 2nd property. I know things happen, so, whatever. But all in all, I rate the whole experience a B+. the owner
