Great for staycation!

This was a cute place to bring our kids for a weekend getaway! The location is perfect, and the pools are a great perk! We have stayed at the Victorian before, and we didn’t really have any complaints the first time. This was our second time, but our first time in this particular condo. Check-in when we got there was…interesting. The people who work in the check-in office seem like they hate their job. They acted like it was an inconvenience when anyone walked up to the desk. So, that should probably change, but that’s no fault of the condo owner. As far as the condo… the listing says it has an oven, but there is no oven. There is a stovetop and a microwave. The microwave has some convection oven buttons, but there isn’t an oven. Next, the condo had only 3 towels. There were 4 of us during this stay (my husband, me, our son, and our daughter), so we all had to share towels, which wasn’t ideal… yes, there’s a washer/dryer, but that doesn’t help when everyone needs a shower after a beach day. In the shower, there is a dispenser mounted on the wall for shampoo/conditioner and body wash, but everything was empty, and the dispenser actually looked broken. We brought all of our own things, so it wasn’t that big of a deal, but either fix it and fill it, or remove it. There were linens for the pull-out couch bed but no pillow cases, so the kids just used the pillows with no cases. The pillows appeared to be clean, so again, not a huge deal, but pillow cases are always preferred.

Next to Walmart, everything was great, close to the beach… nice and cold room Pools and hot tub great! Wish there had been a dresser maybe in the closet to put away our suitcases instead of them having to lay out each time

Great weekend

I was a little worried about the place when I rounded the corner after climbing the stairs because it has a prison hallway feel, but the room was really cute and well kept. To make the place even better, I would recommend blackout curtains in the bedroom as the hallway light shines through the blinds in the bedroom. I would also recommend adding an air fryer or toaster oven since there is no oven. Overall, I was pleased with the stay.

Nice Getaway

The property is just as pictured on the website. It's quite cozy and functional. Perfect for a family of 4, but not 5 adults. My husband, adult son, and I enjoyed our stay, as it was perfect for us. My only letdown was we were only given 2 sets of towels for 3 adults. Thanks to the available washer and dryer, I was able to rewash a towel to use. Due to the angle of the balcony, we only have a side view of the beach. Upon check-in, there's an extra fee for your parking pass, which also grants you access to the pool and hot tub, which we did not use.

Very nice condo. Washer and dryer could use a very good service and cleaning to get more of the sand out of it. Outside of that, we’ll definitely try to book again in the future

Cute place, slightly shabby complex, good price.

Check in was not great as we had to pay an extra fee that wasn't mentioned in the listing, wait in line, and fill out more paperwork, but the front desk folks were nice enough. And other than being met by a dead roach upon entry to the unit, the unit was clean and nicely decorated. It's a bit cramped and there is no dresser so you have to live out of you suitcase and the small closet, but there is a stacked washer and dryer. The owner had a nice new fridge delivered while we were there and she was really nice and made sure the delivery didn't interfere with our stay. For the price you can't beat it, especially the location. It is close enough to everything you want to do in Galveston. I would add a dresser and put a new toilet seat in there... little details like that can help, but wouldn't hesitate to stay again if on a budget and wanting a beachside stay in Galveston.

No directions for entering or checking into the property. Even when we called customer service, they had no directions as well. We had to figure it out on our own. The refrigerator and celing fan in the room did not work. I was supposed to receive phone calls on both of the above issues, but never did.

Cozy and quaint

Great experience. Good service. The place was very cozy, it was well set and had everything we needed to have a good time. We did not use any of the complex's amenities, but perhaps next time. Nonetheless it was great. My only suggestion relates to the check-in process. Had I known I had to re-do the parking sheet, I would have simply brought a prin-out of the online filled form. It made for a jammed check-in as all guests were scrambling to pull all the information again for the front desk. Not sure why they don't have this form in advance since we complete it as part of the rental process before arriving.

Condo itself was nice and clean. Hallways for the complex were alittle sketchy. Some lights out didnt look safe. The walk in gate was always unlocked which seemed unsafe and unsecured.

Nice and quite

The property felt a little smaller then i thought it would but it worked out after moving things around a bit. The furnishings were nice with a beachy vibe and it was nice and quit inside. One of the pieces of furniture was broke when we got there but i reported it immediately and had no further issues. Overall all we had a nice relaxing stay and would recommend it to otheres.

Sea Turtle Cove

The location on the condo was perfect! The inside of the condo was nice. We didn’t use pools or The Victorian amenities but they seemed nice enough. I didn’t like having to pay for parking at the condo or for amenities (I just wish it was all included since there is no choice in paying). Was confused at property about animals…all my paperwork said absolutely none but saw and heard them all over. 4 handicap parking spaces near the elevator and two of them were taken by 1 car (it never moved) so getting one of the remaining was a gamble each time we left the property! The actual condo management was great! Our garbage disposal didn't work but was fixed immediately!!! Over all it was definitely an above average stay!!! Would stay there again!!!!
