"Good sized room (2 kings) and nice view of momument and capitol. Easy access to Metro and food court of L'enfant plaza. Also walkable to National Mall. Only complaint is that not much tv options for kids. Otherwise great hotel. Staff was polite and helpful. Hot breakfast downstairs in restaurant is a bit pricey ($30 per adult). "

"It is not a five star property as advertised. Rooms are nice, bathrooms great. Amenities were lacking. Minibar in room was not stocked, said to call if you wanted it stocked ?? It could have doubled as a in room fridge but was not turned on. Coffee maker (nice espresso machine) in room did not work. Informed front desk and just asked for a kettle for tea. Said they would get it to us ‘’right away” but did not get till that evening. So much for breakfast tea. Compounded by the fact that the kettle was broken and did not work. Took down to front desk and they said a replacement would be ‘right up” . Never did get in 2 more days . Only way to get ice was to request from front desk. Did so and 2 hours later still waiting. Toiletries in room were in big containers in shower that anyone prior could have used or abused. Maybe ok for holiday inn but not in a “prestigious “ hotel. The staff themselves were pleasant and friendly but they were frustrated by lack of support by management. The lobby was a mess, lots of people waiting for front desk or other reasons, no organization. The bell staff and valets were very good but was expensive. Drinks at bar were not up to par being poorly made. Breakfast buffet was very good and service was great. I usually don’t do reviews but felt I should in this case. I have stayed in many other 4 or 5 star properties and this just did not live up to its expectations. Nice people but just poor follow up and direction."

"Staff were nice. Very clean room and amenities (hand steamer and Nespresso Espresso were plus). A short walk (5-7 minutes) to the Chinatown and the surrounding was much pleasant than staying in the busy area."

"The room we had was great. Our room was large with a living room and full kitchen. Oscar was awesome when he served us. Other staff were okay. They weren’t as exuberant as Oscar though, not even close. Only one washer was working; the other one was out of service. Besides that, our stay was okay. "

"Very Disappointing and Not Worth the Price I stayed at Hamilton Washington DC and was extremely disappointed. The entire hotel is old and outdated — the rooms, the furniture, the bathroom — everything looks worn out and in need of serious renovation. The photos on the booking website showed a completely different picture: modern, clean, and well‑maintained rooms. In reality, nothing matched those images. When we raised our concerns at the front desk, we were told: “What do you expect for this price?” — even though the price was far from low. I consider this pure deception. Showing attractive photos online and then providing old, poorly maintained rooms is simply unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel. For the same amount of money, you can find much better options in Washington, DC."

"Pros and cons of Coda on Half… The pros first… The room was super clean, well lit, Great lighting options in both the main room and the bathroom, great refrigerator, the room smelled great, all the lights in the bathroom were great. The toiletries and towels were great in regards to clean and smelled great. The cons were the bath towels did not fit around my waist and I'm only 215 pounds, the towels definitely need to be larger. The water pressure in the sink was almost nonexistent. The air-conditioning chose to turn off in the middle of the night and I woke up hot and sweaty. When the air conditioning was working, it works great."
