It’s warm, specific, and still tight enough for a hotel-review box: I stayed at Collective Governors Island for my 35th birthday, and it made the occasion incredibly special. Waking up on Governors Island, in my favorite city, on my actual birthday was a memory I will always keep. I stayed in a king accommodation, and this was my first glamping experience. Now I’m pretty sure this is the only way I want to camp. I loved having the peacefulness of nature and……

“Overall, I would def. stay here again. The listing pictures were just what we got. We traveled to NYC as a family of 5, 2 kids 1 toddler and the beds in our room were a lifesaver, plenty of room. We had a nice view and it was located in a great area! Everything was just blocks away. (it is NY, so you are walking 90%of the time anyway) Time square was about 10 blocks but so much to see in between it did not feel far. The parking situation was a little stressful since there is no onsite parking.……

“The location great. Very convenient to upper west side. That was the positive.The negatives- kitchen was not very clean. We ended up using plastic utensils as several forks and knives were dirty.- coffee maker didn’t work- debris on ground of kitchen- the apartment is dark! The pictures are not totally reflective- no AC in the main bedroom. Window AC in the main room- only 1 key!! Not sure how you can sleep 8 people and only have 1 key. That required a lot of juggling- host was somewhat……

“Does not accommodate 5 people as described. There was only 1 king bed and 2 small sofas, one was able to lay flat, like a very small futon and the other was just a narrow sofa.”

“We loved the centrally located neighborhood. It was quiet and convenient. The apartment was spacious and very clean. Charlene was an absolute gem to work with. Highly recommend this place. ”

“The central location was very convenient and made it easy to get around. However, the soundproofing was poor, and it was quite noisy late at night and into the early morning, sometimes as late as 2 am. Light sleepers may want to keep this in mind. The room was clean and had everything we needed, but the facilities felt a bit old, and there were some stains on the carpet and bedding. Also, we were required to pay a cleaning fee at check-in and could not check in without paying it.”
