the place was very orderly and clean, with nice appliances and fully furnished with anything you may need while staying. the view of the mountains was amazing from the back porch as well. would highly recommend staying there to anyone i know.

Perfect Stay

A really lovely cabin in a secluded neighborhood, but close to everything! It was easy to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or the national park from here. We really enjoyed leaving the hustle and bustle of downtown behind to come back to this peaceful little mountain spot. The cabin was well stocked with anything you could need to enjoy your stay!

Wonderful stay at this charming cabin

We enjoyed ringing in the New Year at this cabin. It was charming and not too bad of a drive up into the mountain. All amenities listed were available, and we enjoyed the antique decor and cozy feel.

Anniversary Trip

This was the third year my wife and I have stayed at Dogwood Lodge. We have found this to be the best maintained cabin we have rented in the Smokeys Cabin is well furnished, clean, appliances all work, furniture is very comfortable. The manager is very easy to communicate with, giving excellent information regarding check in. The location is great being between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Fall Getaway

We loved this cabin. We stayed for 5 nights. The cabin was just as listed. The decorations in the house were great. My husband saw a momma bear and cubs right down the road from cabin.

Quiet, Secluded Place to Relax

The silence was deafening! Tranquil best describes this place: a great location to chill and relax. Nicely appointed rooms make this property feel very relaxing. Seeing the giant bear in the back of a parked pickup truck near this cabin was exciting! The driveway was very steep, and the turn into the property from the narrow road was tight but negotiable for our mid-size SUV. Overall, we enjoyed our accommodations and would consider this rental again!

Bears!

My friends and I met up for a girl's weekend. The cabin was exactly as pictured and described. We had everything we needed and cooked most of our meals in the cabin. Best of all, we got to spend about 30 minutes with a mama bear and three baby bears! It was a wonderful and memorable experience. The host provided excellent communication. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful Relaxing Experience

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our 5-day stay in this lovely cabin during March 2024! The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals; there are plenty of towels, pillow choices and supplies; the beds are comfortable; the decor is adorable with lots of artwork and a library of books to read; the hot tub is clean and wonderful to relax in with the beautiful views; and the neighborhood is very quiet and filled with local wildlife! We even saw a bear! The cabin is also centrally located close to many of the towns and parks that visitors come to enjoy. We highly recommend it!

Thanksgiving 2023

We habe stayed at this cabin numerous times. The cabin was clean and welcoming. Guests appreciated the amount of available towels. We were a little disappointed that t he fireplaces had been converted to gas but the gas fireplace worked well and warmed the living room. The queen mattress in the smaller upstairs bedroom needs replaced. I would suggest having chlorine available for guests to use in the hot tub as it definitely needed some during our stay.

Terrible amenities, great location

Let me start out by saying I would like to give 2 stars but the owner was responsive and the location was great. The cabin is rustic as stated, which was completely fine with us. There is a big difference in the structure and decor being rustic and the beds, bedding and living room furniture being 30+ years old. We have stayed at many VRBOs, some being quite rustic. However I think it is important to update your sheets, bedding and towels every so often. The mattresses were terrible and the pillows were all very old and used, also the towels all smelled sour and needed to be thrown out. The living room furniture looked and felt like 90s hand-me-downs. Also the pots and pans were very used and the hot tub was dirty and stained. It felt as though the owners took all of their old stuff from their actual home back in the 80s or 90s and put it in the cabin, never updating again. It was sad to me because the cabin itself is very cool and rustic and the location is great. The owners need to invest some of their rental income in amenity updates.

Great Cabin for the Fourth of July

We really enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July. It was a short drive to town and accommodated all of our needs. Larry was very nice and quick to respond when we had any questions. The driveway was a little steeper than us out of towners are used to and its a sharp turn in, but other than that we had no issues.

Great Cabin and Location!

We enjoyed our stay in Dogwood Lodge. Communication with the owner (Larry) when needed was easy and he was quick to respond. We found the cabin to be true to the description provided. We liked how close it was to the welcome center where we utilized the free trolly throughout the week to avoid driving and parking downtown. The cabin itself was unique, comfortable and cozy. We were curious about the history, which Larry was happy to share with us and added sentimental value to our stay there. The only thing I wished for was a better view. This cabin is surrounded by trees with only a small clearing to view the mountains. However, there were plenty of viewing opportunities while we were out hiking and sightseeing.

3 generation family vacation

Everything was as advertised and we had a wonderful stay. I did have a quick question prior to the trip and Larry responded quickly. The cabin was conveniently located to activities and restaurants but secluded and private. The trip included 3 generations of family and the set up ( 1 bedroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs) allowed for privacy for the family. We would highly recommend staying at Dogwood if you are in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area.

Beautiful home, beautiful view!

My mother, my teens and I stayed here for a week over spring break. Loved reading about the history of the homes in Timberidge!!! The home was cozy and decorated with neat antiques. If you’re looking for modern and updated, this is not for you. We absolutely loved the hot tub!!! Every day was spent in there!! The views were great from the deck (especially the sunsets from the hot tub). We were pleased at how well the house was stocked with toilet paper, towels, paper towels, soaps, etc. Great bonus as so many houses we’ve stayed in give nothing or very minimally. The beds and sheets were comfy. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and reading on the cooler nights. Wi-Fi worked great. Drive up was very nerve wracking to get used to! Very narrow roads, steep hills, sharp curves…we decided to make sure we were home by dark every day to avoid driving it at night. We did end up finding a way down and up that avoided the curvy areas so that helped! Overall, we’d highly recommend Dogwood!!!! We loved every second of our stay!!

Perfect Family Getaway!

This cabin is perfect for a family gathering! It's the right distance in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so you get the best of both worlds. The cabin has tons of charm and character! We absolutely loved our stay! The host was very easy to work with, and responsive to questions. Definitely recommend!!

Outstanding Choice Oozing with Charm

We LOVED our stay at this cabin. It was charming and unique and the main reason we had such a wonderful time in the Smokys. We abandoned our plans to dine in town and instead enjoyed many family meals in the dining room, and board games around the fire. The gas fireplaces made it super easy to get cozy in the cabin and the hot tub was divine after a long days on the trails. We even had a bear visit one afternoon, sniffing around the garden. This is the place for a relaxing holiday! Note: the home boasts beautiful views from the deck but the road is very windy on the way up. Hosts don't supply shampoo so be sure to pack some as its a windy trip to the shops. Everything else you need is supplied. I had to reach out to hosts a few times before our stay and they were super responsive and helpful.
