「The plus side:
Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine.
Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog.
Sky/netflix.
Bed very comfy.
Nice white towels.
Good communication from owner.
2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs.
negative side:
Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...

「This was a return visit to Waterfall cottage for us. It is so cosy and comfortable with walks accessible from the front door, and a few minutes drive away from Matllock but Bakewell and Chatsworth House are also nearby. Mrs Else is so welcoming and left us a super welcome pack and shared photos of how the cottages were built back in the 80s. We will definitely come back again but for a longer stay as there is so much to do and see.」

「A very clean, comfortable cottage, spacious and well equipped with everything that you need. Cosy and warm. Great walks from the door, beautiful area with all that the Derbyshire dales has to offer. There is a friendly pub across the road where we enjoyed a pint but only serving meals at weekends currently. 10 minute walk into the village where another pub, also friendly (the black swan) serves food but with a limited menu. There is an Indian restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent meal one of...
