「We stopped in Geilo because of the way back to Oslo from Bergen. We knew nothing before arrival but we finally knew that it’s the great place for skiing. After our arrival, we checked in at 7 or 8 pm but the staff still told us the necessary information. The room is spacious but the interior of the ground and underground are in progress of renovation. 「Very cozy old hotel with lots of charm and atmosphere. It might be a bit worn, but that is part of the charm and to be prioritzed instead of new ordinary hotels. Free parkering and wonderful view over the mountains and skiing area. We had dinner in the sports bar - nothing fancy, but dining can be done in the restaurant also. Very nice staff and very nice breakfast. We will come back if we need to stay in Geilo again.」

「Travelled to these apartments for a family ski holiday. Apartments lovely and new, plenty of communal space, full size fridge and oven/hob. Bedrooms on the small side and no wardrobes, just drawers and hooks. Hotel just next door with facilities - 2 restaurants, gym and swimming pool. Bit more of a walk to the ski bus stops than we realised but proximity to town and shops etc meant this location worked well for us. 」

「A good place to stay for up to 8 people. Well-equipped kitchen and quite new. Best for staying at least a few days because the bed linen charge is 16 euro per person. This price (160KR) is not listed on the Expedia advertisement as it should be (just that there is a charge). We just made a 1-night stopover with 4, so it became a considerably more expensive option therefore.」
