The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the ferry pier to Butterworth which is extremely convenient. The hotel room is quite good and the breakfast is tasty with a wide range of choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful!

The room is nice witha big bed, the hotel staff are nice and polite. I love the car parking, hotel has resevered a whole parkong lot for hotel customers. This hotel is near to most attractions. 15 mins to everything

這個房價在檳城可以找到更好。房間衛生一般比較簡單，床不太舒服。我們第二天下午4點多回來時還未整理房間。除了地理位置比較好，其他都像快捷酒店。

1. 地點位置佳: 後門左手十步路就有美食廣場，也有免費環城公車站(CAT), 有餐廳，有夜店，有換匯，有文創商店，周日有市集，走路可以到達想去的景點。 2. 飯店房間寬敞，床很大好睡，乾濕分離，冷氣強，熱水給力。 3. 游泳池很讚。 4. 早餐普通。 5. 門房會說中文，很熱心給問。 非常推薦這間飯店，很愉快的二晚。

The services were generally good, staff were helpful and friendly. In terms of cleanliness, the room was kept tidy. However, I noticed that the toilet bowl was not cleaned on daily basis. The stain that stuck on the toilet boil day 2 morning remained in the same position until we left on day 4.

Good value for money
Good experience to stay first time in this hotel for 5 nights. Reception and housekeeping are friendly and efficient. Breakfast is mostly Asian style with reasonable choice. Room is spacious and comfortable, except that the washroom is not so good with water leaking through the door making the toilet floor wet and slippery. Overall good value for money in central location of George town.

Nice experience
Royale Chulan is close to the heritage site area in Penang. Most of the hot spots identified in travel book are in few minutes walking distance from the hotel. In other word, it may be a bit far from the city centre, shopping malls or the beach area. When I arrived the hotel in day 1, they were unable to allocate a room to me. One hour later, they upgraded my room to executive class in the roof floor, which is a much larger room. The terrace is directly facing seaview with a cruise parking outside. The sunset view is really perfect. However, the hotel staff was not very good at promoting the city travelling experience and usually had no idea when I asked about the location or travelling route to certain tourist attractions.

Great stay.
Room is spacious and comfy but the furniture is a lil bit worn out. The bed is extremely huge and the pillow are super which leads me into deep sleep. Food court , bars and shops are nearby within walking distance. Little India is also close. I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
