I cant understand some of the reviews that claim some of the furniture is a bit worn.... the house has charm and has the sense of travelling around the world (which Stanley has) without ever leaving and feeling extremely helpful. Special thanks for the hat from your collection for the wedding i attended (which i returned). Would definitely recommend”

“We had a short stay at this cottage. It was well appointed, bright and the outside area is fantastic for relaxing. There are doors separating every room which makes it convenient for cutting down noise if you have multiple people staying there. The pub in Steeple Ashton was fantastic (The Longs). The one and only drawback was the strength of the smell of the (I assume) cleaning products. In trying to air out the smell, we discovered that the second room's window was impossible to open and……

“Stay was enjoyed by all ages hot tub and pool table appreciated particularly by the youngsters only one thing we felt could be replaced were the tall stools in the conservatory. We felt they were unsafe and very rickety but had no reflection on our stay”

“An excellent accommodation for my family requirements. 4 adults and 2 children. Good sized bedrooms, excellent kitchen and living area. Generally well equipped, some cleaning cloths required would be our only thought. Otherwise, excellent hosts who were available if required, and though living close where very descreet. The property was easy to find given the GPS coordinates. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and they were very helpful in all arrangements. There was good instructions……

“We were in Yeovil for a few days to visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. It had everything we needed for a self catering stay but was also close to shops and some restaurants. It was just like the photos and felt quite indulgent. I'd happily go back there.”

Gorgeous bedrooms and the sound of the stream at night. Lovely walks straight from the back and Alan the host, was incredibly helpful and friendly.”

“A beautiful place to stay. Quality furnishings lots of light set on a beautiful garden bordering a river. Wonderful hosts. Only problem was that VRBO had not taken our second payment and since we had already been travelling for almost a month we had assumed that the payment would be automatically taken as it always has been in North America where we live. Not good management on the part of VRBO. We had not received an email about this either. The owners could have denied us but they didn’t and……

Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back!”
