“There is some vagueness in the property listing about the size and usage of the property. The property manager greeted me upon arrival and was friendly and helpful. He advised us that the lower and larger pond is a private waters club lake and was off limits. We had full access to one large pond and a smaller pond each of which containing all you can catch 1/4-2lb bass. We checked in at 4pm on a friday with great weather caught atleast 30 bass in two hours time. On saturday it rained allday, but……

“We had a lovely 3-night stay. The cottage was cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable - soft, but not too soft. Pillows were great. Enjoyed a bonfire and smores at night; coffee and turtle watching from the boathouse dock at sunrise. We had a perfect view of the eclipse from the dock. Luckily, the rain clouds held off until after totality. Internet connection was strong and supported multiple devices. We were also able to smoothly stream movies in the evening, even with a thunderstorm……

“We had a great stay. The house was just as described. The owner said there would be no coffee or other spices and there was a TON of coffee and spices. The house is not near any town, so stock up on what you need on the way in. The view of the lake could not have been better.”
