「Worst motel ever. the front desk lady is extremely rude. It was a very cold night, the bed blanket on bed is thin, 10:30 PM. I came to front desk to try to get another thicker blanket, but nobody was there. I nocked the door, ring the bell, called the phone. Nobody answered. Until 11:00 PM, she came out from inside. She was very unhappy that I disturbed her. She said there is no additional blanket in the motel. What ? You run a motel business and no blanket? I questioned her,  And she changed...

「The Untold is wonderfully posh and unique. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and nostalgic. The main seating area, bar, and restaurant have a feel that is texturally understandable to the senses that says "stay longer" to your nervous system.」

「Okay place to spend a night but don’t expect any service. This place uses remote “staff” to run the joint. I called the “desk” around 6:30 pm with a request. Got a call back around noon the next day, when we were well on our way. No soaps, no shower cap. Only plus was an urn of good coffee in the otherwise empty lobby. Not much for $160 or so.」

「As is probably the case, it was pretty much an ever so slightly more upscale version of Motel Six. For the rates we paid I would expect they could do so renovating. The toilet barely flushed and the hard water stains on it could probably easily be removed with basic cleaning.」

「The owner was great. Place was well maintained. Family type atmosphere. Room was small, but perfect for what we needed. Lake is awesome. My wife and I sat on the dock with a drink as the sun was setting.」

「Steven’s House (a Red Lion Annex across the street) is very “tired”. Exterior has severe wear with peeling paint and unkempt yard. Interior is much the same with wallpaper peeling in bathroom, a broken ice machine in the common area. The cleanliness is below expected for the price paid ( same as main hotel). Wooden railing to second floor is not really ideal with splinter potential from rough surfaces. Overgrown bushes as you exit dirt parking area are a terrible hazard as you cannot see...
