“Our stay at Oakwood Beach exceeded our expectations! Communications with the host, John, were all positive. The information packet was helpful. When we had one question concerning the operation of the outdoor fireplace, John promptly gave us help. The beach area had the feel and sound of the ocean. We took many pleasant walks on the beach. The house was very clean and there were many small touches such as toiletries, flip flops, sunscreen, etc that indicates the effort by the hosts to……

“We enjoyed this location for a Thanksgiving trip to see Philadelphia and local family. Check in and out was smooth. Recently rehabbed property, was very clean with quiet neoghbors. We had an issue with a doorknob and the owner came to fix it within hours of reporting it. The only difficulty was finding street parking later in the evening, but it was easy to find during the day. We rode the bus a couple times and walked every day, which helped us find local coffee & pie shop, murals, cheesesteak……

“Stay was amazing, neighbors are loud and dogs bark throughout the night but this place is definitely a hidden gem.. there is a corner store across the top of the street which was convenient but the only downside was that there were indeed flies flying around a bit frequently as well as dead flies on the basement ground other than that this was an amazing stay for me and my family and we’d visit again ”

The place was spotless when we arrived and the owner was available to us to make sure our stay was problem free. I will definitely try and use this property again on my next trip to Philadelphia to visit my daughter while she is attending school at Temple University. ”

“The neighborhood was creepy. Mail was on the doorstep unopened, the owner never communicated the code to get in. I sent a text/email and never got a response. The neighbors were doing drugs. … some sort of sniffing, smoking?!? We felt totally unsafe and went to an Embassy Suites. I would expect a full refund and have contacted my credit card company to enter a complaint. I would never recommend this place to anyone !!!”
