Everything was fine except my room had a thin shade that let the light in, so I had a hard time sleeping. I would’ve switched rooms, but I checked in around midnight and was exhausted.

The room was fine except for three maintenance issues which I passed along when I checked. Special note must be given for the complimentary breakfast: maybe the best I have had at a popular motel chain property. And the hostess stayed right there to assure everything went well.

The room had a strong musty mildew smell, and the TV didn’t work. The young lady at the front desk gave us another room across the hall which had the same smell. She said “no one was available to fix the TV she was there alone”. The room, bathroom & linens were clean and for breakfast there was a very good selection. Staff was friendly and tried to accommodate but was beyond their control. The Property owner needs to maintain this property better. Seems to me there was a roof issue that was not properly resolved. There was peeling, bubbled wallpaper, what looks to be wipe marks on the wallpaper and wet spots. The ceiling was freshly painted which was just a cover up. We were in town for a funeral and spent most of our time with family -not in the hotel. There is only 1 other hotel in the area. I asked for a refund and was told she was not authorized to do that, so we were really just stuck with this hotel. We won’t stay there again.

Your staff was not pleasant to deal with, going into my room without my permission while my kid was sleeping, we were on the dog side of the hotel but still supposedly was told our dog barked a lot so we were told to leave had compaints supposedly - will not stay here again

The room was extremely dirty, it felt as if the room was not cleaned from the previous guests. Tooth paste on the mirrors, urine on the floor, hair in the sheets of bed, the shower was absolutely filthy. When we spoke with the front desk staff they were dismissive and state there was nothing they could do until the next day.

More help at front desk so it didn’t take 1/2 to get checked in The entrance doors were extremely loud. Our room heard everyone coming and going into hotel to the point we left a night early to come home to get a quiet of sleep since neither my husband or I slept the night before The gentleman at desk, Michael, was very kind and apologetic BUT I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hallways smelt horrible- Only gave it an “okay” because of Michael. Honestly it would be a “POOR” otherwise. Shame on HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS!!! Not work the $300.00 we spent!!!!!!!
