阿伯丁戈登高地博物馆附近酒店

“Love this hotel which has also had a wee upgrade since being taken over by its new owners recently but still retains its warm welcome for visitors as well as being a popular venue for locals. Parents first stayed here in 1962 and it was always a favourite for family meals out or a drink in the bar. Had a lovely warm and comfortable room and fab breakfast! Bus stop into the centre is just outside or it’s a fine walk into town or to Rosemount (just allow for the uphill on the way back 😊) So glad……

“The property is older and the pictures online do not properly show what the property looks like today. No air conditioning.”

“The property is easy to find and beautiful from the start. There is plenty of parking on site. Check in was easy. Our room was spacious, bright, clean, and up to date with a large closet for luggage and coats/clothes. The bed was super comfortable with nice crisp clean linens and comfy pillows. Very clean bathroom with a very nice stand up shower. Staff were always friendly, personable, and more than helpful. Right after we checked in we ordered room service from the bar, which was brought up……

“The check in process took us 3 hours in total. We were not sent the check in instructions and when we tried to call the number listed there was no one connected. After waiting 2.5 hours someone connected and when we managed to talk to her she then couldn’t get the lockbox code which took another 30 minutes ”

“The stay at the park in was ok. The curtains in the room were insufficient. With daylight at 4am, the whole room was lit up and made it hard to sleep. I was going to bring up this issue at check out, but was not even asked how my stay was. See attached photos at 4am.”

“Clean & comfortable room. Feel a bit hot and stuffy in sunny summer days, would be better to provide ventilations or fans. Nice food and restaurant. Limited parking spaces at carpark, need to park at back alley.”

“verything was just right with the room and service, except disturbing noise for the band performance from the bar till 12:30 midnight .It was a very popular bar down down stairs wih crowds till then. cannot sleep before that.”

“Spacious accommodation for single travellers. Situated close to main thoroughfares which made transport for onward travel easy.”

“Room had balcony which allowed the sun to keep the room warm during the day. Meal at hotel was generous.”

“The Mercure is an older and I suspect much grander hotel at one time. It has a sense of opulence about it with wide staircases, high ceilings and stained glass windows, however there are also signs of aging, i.e. worn carpets, old windows. I think it adds to the charm. The breakfast staff were very attentive and pleasant. Breakfast was typical fare, with adequate choices available. My room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. My only complaint was noise made by the fire door slamming……
