"Great "

"This is a modern and reasonably decorated hotel. However, when we checked in, we were placed in a room that smelt of cigarette smoke. We changed it, but were placed in a room that smelt of damp. That was bad enough, but when we asked for help with the room, the front desk staff promised they would call us back and then did not do so. We asked for help a second time and were again given fake excuses; one member of reception (Nitin) promised to have his management send us a letter under the door or give us a call. No help arrived. It seems the front desk of the hotel operates a policy of lying to desks and hoping they will go away. This is appalling. "

"An ocean view room was reserved for my parents at the Sugar Beach hotel. They were celebrating their Golden (50th) anniversary. Initially they were given a room that was very far from the reception and required climbing stairs and didn't provide a clear ocean view (something we paid for). Also, they were not provided with drinking water in their rooms. On top of this, their in-room phone did not work. They were eventually moved to a better room on the ground floor, but the staff and service had already scarred the experience at the hotel. Prior to their stay at Sugar Beach, they stayed at the Le Meridien, where the staff, the service, the location were all top notch. The day and night difference between the two hotels made it worse at Sugar Beach. Will not be booking Sugar Beach Hotel again. "

"he friendliness and attentiveness of the staff are what really sets it apart (special thanks to Rohan at Royce and Yash at Mixologist who took exceptional care of us). Beyond that, just stellar all round; the suite, the location, the food, the cleanliness, the facilities. This is our third time visiting, and no doubt we’ll be back as it’s proven very reliable."

"The pool was very relaxing. Made to feel welcomed from the minute I arrived. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only downside is the location really necessitates a car or moped"

"So I’ll start with the positives. Staff was friendly, room was clean and pool was nice and breakfast was nice to start the day. My room did have a rather warm pleasant smell for most of the stay and I was below the rooftop and the music played ALL night so base could be heard through then ceiling. Overall the stay was fine. Rooms were nicer in photos and there is not much around the hotel but the little beach is pretty and a nice little restaurant next door. "
