Longs Grande Dunes Country Club Hotels

"The part we stayed in was a cute "condo". It was very nice but slightly out dated. Paint falling from the walls, melted walls around the stove, left over boxes of wood floor planks under the bed. No sheets for the sofa couch. The unfortunate part is the smell of marijuana all day long from our hallway and the other rooms around us, sucked that we couldn't sit on the patio without getting hit with the smell, and I had kids in the room. The plus, the beach. Right on the beach. We had a glorious time, but others told us it was horrible experience. Choose wisely, research, ask for the family suite. I'm glad I did. But it needs a lot of updates."

"Charged a $250 amenities fee upon arrival due to booking on a different website other than their own. The door to our room 516 was open when we got there basically because the door is really hard to close and housekeeping doesn't know how to close the door. We had to vacuum our own room since housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms and only brings new towels. The room is very outdated and needs a new pullout couch bed. Best part about this hotel is the location on the ocean and pools. Was definitely way over priced for what it is."

"no eggs at 8 am. attendant stated they were out. room was verry noisy. check in counter stated what did you expect spring brake is always noisy, pet frindly no where in advertisement if known would not have booked this hotel. left after 1 night. told to contact hotels dot com for refund but we paid at hotel ith credit card."

"I stayed at Sand Dunes Resort for 2 days with my friend, and this was genuinely the worst hotel/resort experience of my life. We originally booked a room with two queen beds and a kitchen, but the first room we were assigned had a cockroach in the kitchen. After we complained, they moved us to another room just two doors down — which honestly didn’t feel like much of an upgrade. The cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable. The bath towels were dirty, and the only clean towels in the room were the hand towels, which is what both of us had to use after showering. That alone says everything. The bathroom/shower was terrifying. The bottom of the tub felt so soft, unstable, and sunken in that it literally felt like it was going to collapse while showering. Also, don’t expect even basic hotel essentials. They did not provide toothpaste, and the soap they gave smelled so bad it honestly felt like I was washing myself with vegetable oil or canola oil. If you enjoy staying somewhere that feels closer to a dumpster than a resort, then this place might be for you. Otherwise, save your money and book literally anywhere else. I would never recommend Sand Dunes Resort to anyone, and I will definitely never stay here again."
