ing was amazing

I actually stayed on Rosy Cruise. It’s the same company as Rosa but a new boat that just started a month ago and I upgraded to it. Everything was amazing. Ha Long bay is on of the most beautiful places I’ve been. The staff were so nice, and the boat was beautiful.

Brilliant location, good food but the boat is nothing like the pictures, that must have been taken on another boat. If we knew what we were expecting we would probably have booked anyway and the area is stunning. But the cabins and comfort a disappointment based on what we were expecting from the pictures and description on the web site.

Vi hadde en fin tur med Rosa Cruise. Hadde Limousine transport noe som virkelig er å anbefale. Rommene var rene, men små. Programmet akkuratt som spesifisert, men litt samlebånd. Maten var god men ikke fantastisk, mye grønnsaker og variasjon. Besetningen var greie og ga god service.

Overall this stay was rather disappointing. We booked explicitly the "Rosa cruise" since its a smaller boat. We were however put on the much larger "Rosa Boutique cruise" and in the worst cabin on that boat too... The booking through Expedia worked smoothly and since the rate is per room here while most cruise companies have per person rates its was less expensive than booking directly. Communication with the cruise company regarding pick up etc was however difficult. Mails were never replied too and phones were not answered so we were afraid that all this was a big bluff. On the day of the cruise everything went fine however, we were picked up with a bus at the hotel, drove to the docks and transferred to the boat. As written before, the boat was not the one we booked however and no explanation for this was given. Our cabin was the one closest to the engine and it was hardly possible to be in there while the boat was driving as the main engine was really loud. Even while the boat was standing still the generator was running so that sleeping was not comfortable in our cabin. There was plenty of food served during lunch and dinner, however it was not really high quality and brought out in random order with items not really matching. Drinks are to be paid separately. The overall planning of activities was suboptimal and it felt really rushed. We thus skipped the cooking lesson on the way back since this was supposed to be when we just passed the most spectacular landscape.

The ship is a little dated, but it was clean. The service is good, but the meals are not "buffet" style. You are seated at tables of 6-8 persons and must share the food with strangers. Everything is counted ( 1 egg per person, 1 shrimp/per person, etc).

객실은 큰 기대 하지 말아라. 가격에 상응하는 컨디션이다. 그러나 가이드가 훌륭하다. 식사도 맛있는 편이다. 엑티비티는 카약, 동굴탐험, 진주공장 3개이다. 촛대 바위나 키스 바위 등 하롱베이를 대표하는 바위를 보여주지 않은점이 아쉽다.

Sweltering, they refused to turn on the AC in the common area because it was "too hot"... The activity director was a little to pushy, it felt more like a military camp than a leisure trip.

The staff are great, but management cut budgets

This cruise was good in that the staff were excellent, you can tell they go out of their way to do everything within their power to make you comfortable. However, after some time on board, you can tell management/superiors have cut as many corners as possible to maximise on their margins. The food was well cooked, but bland, unimaginative, with low cost ingredients, small amounts of fish to share but piles of steamed rice. Decorative carved carrots don't really satisfy hunger/make up for this. Again for breakfast, piles of steamed bread, luncheon meats etc not appetising. This was not the staff's fault. One roll of toilet paper per room for 24 hours isn't enough (including communal deck toilet!). Our boat broke down and had to be towed by another boat in the bay to where we anchored for the night. The staff said this was the first time, but it happened again the following day (we were towed to dock) and the boat left with the next lot of passengers immediately after dropping us off, with no repair. It makes me wonder how long it has been broken, again no fault of the staff. I was asked to review the cruise on board (unanonymously) and after writing similar comments as i have here, I was asked to change my review. The staff seemed quite apprehensive about anything negative, and i got a strong feeling they would be punished if this was the case. That is why i say they were not at fault here, and the disappointing time i had while on board was due to management made cuts.thanks

1월에 가서 추웠지만 직원들 모두 친절했고 음식이 훌륭했어요. 저녁 한끼만 해도 본전 뽑는듯한 ㅎ 4식 제공에 카약, 수영, 양식진주농장방문, 동굴투어, 쿠킹클래스, 태극권체조 포함이었고 하 노이에서 크루즈까지 왕복차량 비용은 따로 준비했는데 원래 포함인지 받지 않으시더라구요. 화장실에서 하수구 냄새가 좀 올라오긴 했는데 대체적으로 완전 만족합니다. 와이파이는 기대하지 마세요.
