Hanalei Ha'ena State Park Hotels

"Wonderful staff and wonderful stay. The key feature is the use of the shuttle van - Keith was fantastic and took me to Limahuli Gardens, to Hanalei for dinner, and to the farmers market on Saturday morning which meant I didn't have to hunt for parking in any of those locations. The restaurant - Gaia - is now open. The food was really good - I liked the ube manapua and you can't go wrong with Unko's chicken. The service was a little slow, but I think the restaurant had only been open for about a week. Just a note - it was BYOB at the time that I went there. "

"Amazing! We had such an awesome trip staying here. The house was perfect. The property was perfect. The beach was perfect. The views were spectacular. No crowds. Very quiet. Steve was so great. Very responsive and made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to go back!"

"House near Tunnel beach. Big house but not kept well. We arrived and the house was not cleaned. We found unmade beds, dirty restrooms, kitchen untidy, dishwasher with dirty plates and fridge with food left from the previous guest. We had to call the owner 4/5 times before she answered. And when she did she didn't even apologize for the mess. She sended a girl that did what she could, I had to take the kids to the beach because their were shocked by the experience and didn't want to stay!! My mother stayed below and waited. My mother checked the cleaning and pointed out it was still dirty (dead mosquitos, webbs and dirt on the patio floor). The owner decided to let her come the next day for a "deep cleaning". So the next day we had to leave the apartment so they could clean!! The space under the house was crowed with tables, sofas and chairs. Very untidy. The bine (waste) area in in full sight and was not emptied. We also found the washing machine full of dirty towels that we started and then also dry cleaned!! This is all unacceptable so I asked Vrbo of a refund of the cleaning fee. They accepted. Thank you Vrbo excellent client service! "

"We felt the unit was in need of repair. The sliding glass door screens were stuck. The silverware drawer was dismantled and had to be removed to access silverware.. Also, because this was rented from the renter, some of the privilege's, such as access to the shuttle service, were not available. The beech was within 100 yards and that was nice."

"Property at HCB is a hidden gem on the North shore. This unit was clean and everything worked as expected. The unit has ocean views from the front door, inside and the lanai. In the past we have rented ocean front on this property so we experimented with this unit which is a building behind ocean front (still great ocean views!) and you can still hear the waves surround you which is a great way to fall asleep at night. Don’t expect a/c anywhere on the north shore because the winds keep things cool."

"We loved out stay here! The location was so peaceful and we loved out morning walks on the beach. It was so close to the national park and drives to Hanalei bay for food, shops, and the beach. The lush rainforest feel was incredible. we enjoyed nice rains from the porch and beautiful sun rises and sunsets. Had everything we needed and the fresh air from the windows was lovely. "

"Oh, how we loved this place! The house is beautiful and has everything you need and more. We spent most of our time at home on the back deck watching and listening to birds. The outdoor tub and shower were a nice bonus too. Proximity to a wonderful beach and great snorkeling makes this place ideal. Judy was very responsive when the power went out the first morning. The next door neighbor is super nice and friendly and you may have donkeys and cows wander by the back yard. Don’t hesitate to book! Only downside is mosquitoes!!! "

"Amazing! The pictures don’t do the house justice. The location is right on one of the most beautiful beaches in all Kauai. We did have a good amount of rain but even sitting on the chairs of the covered lanai looking at the ocean was heaven. We had some issues with the plumbing and the property manager was super responsive and made sure everything was taken care of. "
