Beautiful Loft on Black Lake

Lon and Lisa are fantastic hosts! The loft was beautifully redone and decorated very nicely. They also accommodated our dogs and another sleep situation to make us more comfortable. Definitely staying with them again!

Stay away this scam

I reserved this property for our end-of-summer vacation from 8/13-8/18. Two days before our check-in, the property owner offered me a different property than what was listed. She said the house is bigger with two beds. She did not contact me through VRBO, but texted me directly. After driving 450 miles, we arrived at the property around 8 pm. The house was surrounded by all sorts of trash. The house she offered is a trailer like a dumpster, which is not in a livable condition. She did not let us in. I can only take a peek of the inside. We brought three kids and our dog. Everyone was hungry and tired. It was difficult to find another place with our dog. We had to drive another 8 hours back home. I contacted the owner and VRBO for a refund. But the owner did not respond. VRBO did nothing but asked owner for a refund. VRBO will not do anything if the owner does not give our money back. It is a nightmare.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I were just looking for somewhere quiet to go just to be alone. This was perfect. He could go and fish from the boat launch not to far from the house and I could get some time to myself. We cooked dinner on the grill and just enjoyed are time there together. Our host was great and very easy to get ahold of. Definitely would stay again.
