Bishop Auckland Hamsterley Forest Hotels

"Nice hotel, in older side of building could do with modernising and revamp."

"The breakfast was stunning! Beautifully cooked with quality ingredients. "

"Friendly welcome on arrival and was actually shown to the room. Lovely and clean with refreshments and bottled water. Food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. Would definitely book again"

"Staff were absolutely excellent, such a lovely hotel, great food and beautiful rooms."

"The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and we slept very well. The spa was nice to relax in and worth paying the extra £20 per person for as you could use it all day. Breakfast was freshly cooked and they had gluten free toast ands croissants and the restaurant food was delicious with a good choice of gluten free options."

"Okay place to stay."

"Hotel was very good, but a little out in the sticks. The food was typical pub grub, but well cooked on the premises. No other pubs, shops or restaurants in the village and there are very few restaurants in the nearest town Bishop Auckland."

"Location is lovely quiet and picturesque. We were at a wedding close by so only needed the hotel to sleep at, the hotel is a bit in need of a re-furb but very nice staff and the room was fresh and comfortable. The room was clean, bedding and bed were comfortable we did not eat as arrived at 3 dropped bags and headed to wedding.left at 8 in morning Would stay again as we both said apart from corridors and general impression it was a nice nights sleep Plenty parking and nice area for a morning...
