“Overall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity. That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a……

“Property is amazing! House is well appointed. We did need some soap as there was nothing for the shower but there were ample towels, blow dryer and curling iron available. We rented the houses on the lower property as well as we were having a wedding and it was perfect. All close enough to walk to including the lake. Charlie was so easy to work with and accommodating. This place is a gem!”

Relaxing vibe with coffee bar, different seating areas (actual privacy if have children they can have own area hang out! 2 electric fireplaces and 3 tvs. Outdoor patio. “We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and view of Lake Superior. Our older sons had planned on staying at a ski resort but no snow! So they stayed with us. We fit our family of 9 no problem which was wonderful. We had bonfires every night and even one on the beach! The views are spectacular. We will definitely be back, thank you!”

“This beautiful lakefront home was the setting for a Thanksgiving to remember. Our son lives in Houghton and we wanted a place that would feel like home away from home for the holiday. I especially wanted a kitchen in which I would enjoy cooking Thanksgiving dinner - it was perfect! Everything I needed, from cookware, to mixers to utensils was right there! “We were there for a weekend getaway. The home was really gorgeous. The Lake Superior views from the bedroom and the living room were amazing. We were hoping to catch northern lights, which were a miss, but the home and views made up for that. Jason and Misty were really gracious hosts. They left us detailed instructions and recommendations to make our stay comfortable. If you have folks like mine who cannot stay of internet, then look no further. “We enjoyed our stay here very much! It fit our needs perfectly for our rockhounding trip. It was my husband and I along with my sister and our 2 dogs. There is a nice big yard for the dogs. The cabin is rustic, which I liked and was clean and comfortable.Communication with hosts was great. We had a couple of questions and they always responded quickly. Check in was easy. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen had all the pans and utensils we needed. No complaints here!”

“This home was compact, but very clean and had many thoughtful touches like well-placed night lights, a good bread knife, etc. The hosts checked in with us to be sure we had no problems and we were doing fine. The home is on a highway, so there is a bit road noise, but it is located so that neither Copper Harbor or Houghton seemed too far to go. The house book had some good recommendations for restaurants and we had a nice meal at Fitzgerald's. It was great to have the ability to do some laundry……

“Booked this place to propose to my partner and it was amazing! It definitely helped us relax and healed our souls. We miss it. The peacefulness listening to nature and the waves hit was just perfect. We were also able to go out and explore the rest of the UP which was much cooler than I had expected.
