Hostel, dingy, raw sewage smell

I never leave a bad review and sat with this for a week before doing so. I am only leaving this review so travelers are aware going in. I confirmed with the owner that this is a home and not a hotel prior to booking the entire property. Turned out to be a hostel that smelled of raw sewage. There was a woman who entered the property daily unannounced which was alarming at first then comedic at the end. Zero water pressure in upper two floors, had hot water at times. Some things may have been lost in translation but just know that this property isn't secure when you lock it up, is 5 stories tall and the smell is disgusting. Sorry to have to write this.

Great place for a large group

Stayed at Harmony Homestay in April 2022 with 10 friends and one of their children. It is a great place to stay with a large group, easy access to central Hanoi and lots of great food shops available. The drinking water tap is a great addition, as drinking water is not easily available in places in Hanoi. The rooms all have AC and fans, which is needed with Hanoi’s climate.
