"Good for a short stay, staff were friendly, location is also great but the property is very tired, definitely needs a big refresh, there was a big leak in my room coming from the ceiling fixtures that was extremely annoying. Overall a pleasant stay, but just a very tired and dated hotel"

"The worst front of house experience I had during my entire trip from staff member Zaid. No smile, no hello, not a single word uttered, just a blank stare until we mentioned we were there to check in, which was then followed by the word 'passports'. This man should be working with machines, not people. The 'gym' is a tiny room squeezed to the brim with odd bits of equipment, pretty dated and unusable. The rooftop dining area is also very dated and not a resemblance of the photos. Other than the poor start to our stay here, the rooms were generally clean and comfortable. The property is located well on Galle Road,"

"Was a great stay. Very clean. Upscale. Staff was great. Especially the wait staff at the hotel buffet (dinner). I am so sorry I cannot remember his name, but started with letter R. Provided exceptional service! My receipt form 09/17 says staff: Hewamawell. But there was a whole team. Please give them recognition for making a solo travelers day."

"A great hotel with great facilities. The change rooms / amenities area was fabulous even down to provided blow dryers. Fantastic pool area, very well kept. We had a club room on level 7 with complimentary nibbles, soft drink, tea and coffee throughout the day and evening. The afternoon tea included three choices of hot food , and a variety of sandwiches. Complimentary happy hour also included three choices of hot food and assorted finger food. Great services from all staff encountered"

"It's a beautiful 5-star property, centrally located, on the ocean, with a history of over 160 years, with excellent amenities, including salt water swimming pool, gym, and restaurant, where royalty, prime ministers, presidents, movie stars, and celebrities have stayed over the years. It's highly recommended."

"We checked-in to suite at Cinnamon life City of Dreams for two nights on our vacation. Cleanliness in the suite was excellent and the bed was very comfortable and a very quite atmosphere. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide spead. The pool was very clean and the pool staff was great. The Butler Service assigned for our suite was excellent too."
