“1. This is camping in the back hills. Worth the trip. It is as advertised. bring your own blankets and food that can be warmed on a wood stove. 2. The area had a recent fire but is recovering nicely. 3. the camp itself is worth the trip 4. Communication from expedia to vrbo to Dan Sasquach was severely lacking. ”

“The cabin and property was absolutely wonderful. The water pressure in the shower was great, the bed was very comfortable. We had good internet access and it was nice having a lot of movies to watch. We had total privacy and many places to be outside to enjoy listening to the river surrounded by nature with my wife and dog. We would recommend this to anyone! The kitchen had everything we needed. The owners Patti & Bob thought of everything in stocking the cabin with the basic essentials. They……

“Cabin is clean and big and Christopher is very nice. When we needed a wine corkscrew he gave us his own for the duration of our stay. The photos are a bit misleading as it looks like it's next to a body of water but really it's in an RV park (perhaps that's my mistake for not reading the description more closely) but overall this is a very good place to stay at that's very close to a handy convenience store.”

“Small (preferable), luxurious features (stove, shower, sinks, and the floors, the little drawer knobs, and even the little wood stove is a luxurios feature!). All the windows - curtains aren't necessary because there are no other cabins anywhere! That is wonderful! It is what makes it so special. No cabin on every side of you like other places! It's just you, the river, the pasture, the creek, the rain, the owner's home a far distance but close enough for friendship. It's just a great……

“My family and I traveled to California for a mother’s day trip. This was home was our last stop and by far our favorite. The home was so beautiful and super clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.The host were easily accessible and went the extra mile to help set up a fire to roast some marshmallows! Incredible stay.”

“The home itself was great, came with all basic necessities needed, comfortable space and nice yard. The one downside was the bugs - a lot of cobwebs in the house, spiders and slugs. Overall good place to stay in a quiet area that is easy to find in the heavy fog. Easy access to Redwoods either direction too. ”

“Great place, a cosy beautifully decorated old house with (unheated) enclosed porches where there is an added bedroom, half bath, service porch with washer & dryer, laundry sink where dishes are washed and the refrigerator.”

“As long as you set your expectations to truly camping in a tree house you won't be let down! The directions were so helpful, we had a bit of confusion about where to park, and it is a cold water only place. But it was such a treat to camp in a tree house, to take the dirt roads and truly be off the grid, and the cold water added to the experience. We were charmed by the mosaics all over the farm, and my children still talk about the sweet dogs that stuck by our sides the whole time. We will……

“The property is well maintained, clean, beds are comfortable and it had everything we needed. The close proximity to the river was breathtaking! The back deck is a great place to hang out. About 20 minutes from Crescent City where you'll want to buy groceries. Nikki was extremely responsive to any inquiry. We'll be back!”

“The cabin was nice and clean. There was little services, a restaurant in the store on property. The store had limited inventory. There was nowhere to walk by the property. None the less it was comfortable.”

“We used the cabin as a launching pad to explore the Redwoods, and its proximity to Stout Grove was wonderful. We filled all 6 available sleeping places as a family. Space was tight but there were many comforts that made the space enjoyable: homemade cookies upon arrival, lots of blankets and extra pillows, and wonderful smelling hand soap in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked and Bridget had bottled water in a jug in the fridge, too. A few more mats at the front and back door entrances……

“We've stayed at dozens Vrbo's rentals all over the USA, and this by far is our favorite. The host Mr. Dean was very responsive and easy to communicate with. What a beautiful deck over looking the river with the outdoor fireplace (plenty of firewood provided). The house has cool modern decor and the sun shines so brightly through the house.The king size bed was so comfortable with cozy linens and pillows. Nice towels and one of the only rentals that we have had Charmin provided. The kitchen was……
