"The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. "An incredible hotel with views of Lake Suwa to match. A premium price for a premium product. The onsen (public and private) were unreal."

"Decent place but I would probably not stay here again. The mattress felt like a box spring and was very hard, the walls were stained and the wallpaper was ripping in some areas, the walls were thin so you can easily here rooms beside you talking, on top of the fridge and desk there was dust and it looked like that hadn’t been wiped down in a while and my rooms floor had a black spot stains. I don’t think it was worth the price and I would rather spend a little more next time to get a better place to stay. It is close to family mart, the Train Station, Sekicho Park, and many restaurants! The staff were very nice, even though there was a language barrier they were patient with me and helped me out a lot!"

"Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Hot spring was excellent, relaxing in outdoor one looking up at stars was fantastic. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much…so many choices of delicious food including desserts. "

"The room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious, though mainly Japanese with just some bread rolls, which may be limiting for those who prefer the Western style breakfast. There were separate onsen areas, one open to public and the other just for the hotel guests. The public bath was open only for limited times, and the amenities were minimal."
