A truly exceptional property, a harmonious blend of history and contemporary luxury. The interiors are a symphony of different periods and styles, creating a haven for every guest. The spacious lounge and drawing room, adorned with designer furnishings, set the stage for relaxation and opulence. The stunning Hammam Spa has been beautifully built into the original bank vault, preserving the original features of arched brickwork with tiles to compliment, not distract from the space.


This iconic building offers an unrivalled living experience. As you ascend the wrought iron balustrades of the Georgian-style staircase, you'll discover the Galleried Library, an intimate space perfect for gatherings. The Waveney Room beckons with themes of the surrounding valley, complemented by an ensuite. The luxurious Gurney Room boasts a gold leather and chrome designer four-poster bed.

The Shakespeare Room exudes romance with French-inspired decor, and the second-floor landing embraces a New York Loft vibe. The Coffee Gallery offers tropical vistas, while the top floor unveils a master suite with a dressing room and ensuite bathroom, complete with rose gold accents and a jet bath.

We had a lovely week staying in this amazing house, right in the heart of Harleston. The house was comfortable, clean and spacious with quirky features throughout. Each room was decorated differently and the steam room/sauna was a great feature that we all enjoyed.The kitchen was well equipped and we all loved the high tech fridge. The projector was also a great feature and was great for movie night! We also loved the little kitchen on the top floor - great for our early morning cuppa! Slight negatives we found were the lack of storage in the bedrooms (no wardrobes/drawers) and the WiFi could’ve been better. We would definitely recommend!

We stayed with 16 friends for our Stag/ Hen weekend. House was fabulous - size, decor and comfort of rooms were great. Only put 4 stars for accuracy of online listing as we were expecting a BBQ and hot tub but couldn't find them.Very close to corner shops, pubs, restaurants and a park.Host Jonathan was very informative of all the helpful info we needed to know about the house and communicative with our questions pre stay.Would 10/10 recommend!

Perfect for a girlie getaway

This place exceeded my expectations! We had a group of 11 girls staying here and the house was beautiful, spacious and had everything you could ask for. Jonathan was a pleasure to communicate with and was able to answer questions I had, very promptly and with ease. One of the guests is already looking to book this place again for another event. 100% would recommend.

Perfect for Christmas get-together

We met up as a large extended family group. The huge house gave us plenty of space and the bedrooms suited us perfectly. The kitchen was very well equipped and the steam room was a special treat. The play area was enjoyed by all the children as there was equipment for all ages. Being able to wander around the pretty town, visiting the independent shops was a delight. I would definitely recommend this house and would love to visit again.
