Just Beachy!

We had a great family vacation at Hatteras Memories. The wood detail in the living room area was so bright and cheery! There was plenty of seating for when we all wanted to hang out together and lots of space for when everyone wanted to do their own thing. My kids loved the video games and we could not have been happier with the incredible proximity to the beach. We spent the majority of time taking strolls along the beach hunting for shells or letting the kids play in the sand and waves. It was the perfect spot for a little rest and relaxation for our family as well as Grammy and Grandpa and our doggie. Thank you for letting us make our own Hatteras Memories!

Fishing trip

House was exactly what we needed for 3 days in Hatteras and just up the road from Teach's Lair Marina where we fished out of for 2 days. Also just a few minutes walk to the beach

House was very nice. It was clean. However I had to call about the broken toilet seat and black mold in a bathroom shower. The cleaners should have seen that and notifified the management company. Those issues were addressed and corrected the next day. I reported that the hot tub was not working. That was Friday. No response and hot tub was not fixed for our stay. That was why we picked this property and the hot tub wasnt working.

Rough Start and Dirty

The check in process was horrible and gave us a rough start to our trip… they sent me an access code to the lock and when we arrived there were no digital lock’s anywhere so we drove to the management property where it said we could pick up keys, and of course checkin is after 5pm and the office closes at 5pm… there were no keys at the office for us. I spent 2 hours on the phone with CS who were doing their best to help us but there wasn’t much they could do when management screwed up and they were closed. We sat outside of the house for 2.5 hours with a very hungry and tried toddler. Finally at 8:30pm someone showed up with keys to let us in. It was absolutely ridiculous!!! The house was beautiful as expected but we found lots of dishes with food on them so you should wash every dish before using them… there were ants everywhere inside and outside which made it a pain when eating a meal. The grills looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a decade so my husband spent an hour trying to clean them as best he could. Not to mention the extremely old dog poop on the top floor balcony…. The area was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Neighbors are very friendly and even offered for us to come over and eat dinner the night we arrived and were stuck outside with a toddler. The house itself had lots to do! Arcade games, pool table, TVs in every room, fridge downstairs which made drinks easily accessible by the pool, and the walk to the beach was less than a minute.
