"We stayed at Ultiqa Mediterranean Apartments expecting a 2 Bedroom Superior Apartment for my wifes birthday and our babymoon, which is what we booked and paid for through Hotels.com. On arrival, it was clear we had instead been placed in a standard 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor. The room was bare and clearly the standard room as evidenced by its images on the hotel.com website corresponding to that for the standard room and not the superior room. After raising the issue with reception, we were moved to the correct room the following day, which we appreciated, but that still meant we spent the first night in the wrong room type which we paid additional for. Another major disappointment was that the outdoor pool was not operational, and we were not advised of this before arrival. We were advised that neighbouring construction but not t This was one of the reasons we chose the property, particularly as my pregnant wife was looking forward to being able to use the pool during our stay. Had we known this in advance, we may have booked elsewhere. To be fair, staff did ultimately offer to move us into the correct room, and we appreciated that effort. However, the stay did not begin as booked, and the lack of advance notice about the pool significantly affected our experience. Overall, this stay fell short of expectations and of what was advertised. I’d recommend future guests confirm both the exact room type and that key facilities are fully available before arrival."

"The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with 2 bathrooms and a nice little balcony overlooking the pool areas. Tv in the lounge and main bedroom as well as everything you need to cook in the kitchen area. The 2 pools were a good size and looked like a tropical paradise with all the Palm trees surrounding the area. A very comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying there again next time we are on the Gold coast."
