“I came with the intention of simply using the Old Inn as a place to sleep as we had to attend an event nearby, but everything was so good we intend to return just to spend time at the old Inn and the village.”

“A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. Would recommend highly! Alison……

“Pleasant stay. Rooms look a bit dated, no plug sockets next to bed. Room wasn't hoovered before arrival. Plumbing need looking into (slow drainage and toilet flush not great) Staff were helpful. Breakfast was buffet, so unable to choose from normal breakfast menu.”

“Our three nights at the Dower house were a lovely break. The bed was most comfortable and the room spacious with plenty of seating. The breakfast was generous with good choices and prompt service. The gardens are a delight. This is a great place to stay,”

“My wife and I stayed just one night at the Kings Arms and had an excellent meal and breakfast. Our room was clean and tidy and the en-suite was fine, albeit a little cramped. We had ground floor room 5 and, as is our normal custom, went to bed just before 10:00pm. We then suffered a great deal of noise outside our bedroom windows; singing, shouting and swearing, all coming from the sheltered area just a few metres away. In the end we rang the bar in an attempt to get this stopped, but it carried……

“A quiet traditional hotel. Easy parking and nice outside space. Very comfortable and spacious room with a spa bath which was a nice bonus. Would stay again.”

“Great pub super location but the restaurant part needs looking at had English breakfast twice and it started at 8am we sat down at 8.05 and the bacon, sausage, hash brown were rock hard and a lot of people were asking for yogurt but were told sorry but delivery was late (3 days late) Would we go again. Yes”
