“The Shady Lawn Inn is a wonderful place to stay. It's in the heart of Newland, NC, a small town with a cool vibe. Shady Lawn Inn was my home for 10 days because of car trouble. “This place has a pretty view if your room is on the front side. There is no air in this facility which was not stated up front. It wasn't that hot when we were there so it was fine. There are fans in the closet. Beds weren't that comfortable and there was no coffee on Sunday. Overall our stay was good but this facility could certainly use some updating.”

“Our room was very clean. Decor is mountain cabin rustic. Bathroom was very modern. One problem. Our room had a window on the door and the outside lights were too bright for sleeping. We had to cover the window with a towel. To that effect, I will say that the outside area is very well lit and we felt secure. The grounds were a bit dirty.
