「Solo traveller - peaceful night in a very comfortable bed and spacious room. Cleanliness up to speck with crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. Wonderful breakfast with tasty locally sourced bacon. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve chosen the Derby Arms for a stay over now, for a fussy traveller it fits the bill beautifully! Central location for Longridge/Ribble Valley.」

「I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. 「Only stayed one night to go to a concert. Said check in from 3pm but when I arrived at 4pm room was not ready. No air-conditioning in room but it was big & beds looked clean but whole place is in need of decorating. Lift was out if order. Kettle in room but only two mugs for three people. Had to ask a couple of times to get an extra mug. Did not use bath or shower over bath as didn't look clean. Towels are provided but no toiletries. Pub next door was good for a drink beforehand but doesn't do...

「Hermetically sealed and far too warm. Strong smell of marajuana in the stair well, lift didn’t work. Gave me a free breakfast though」

「The room was right above the kitchen extraction fans and was drooming all the time of our stay at the hotel and with the weather being very hot we couldn't have the window open due to the noise and spoil our stay at the hotel sadly we won't be returning to the hotel and report to reception and fell on deaf ears and charge full rate of the bill.」

「Beautiful location with spectacular views. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated and the bathroom was stunning. Breakfast is very good and they offer both buffet and full cooked options. The things that let it down were more to do with the poor staff attitude that we encountered at Sunday lunch and when I tried to check into our room. They didn’t seem interested in helping us and didn’t get our stay off to a great start.」

「Enchanting décor & reception. Allowed on car park early which was a bonus. Lovely comfy room- clean bathroom. Breakfast top quality. Staff very amiable & helpful. Would highly recommend & look forward to staying again. Only 3 or 4 minutes walk to shops & beach.Could not fault so congratulations to owners & staff.👏👏」
